SMU Shows Dominance and Progress in Hawaii
foutsrouts replied to DallasGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
How the Hell do you kick anyone's butt if you don't fight them? Bad joke of a thread. smu sux and we're due for a turnaround. -
Or Aurora, or Blacksburg, or Killeen, or Dallas on a typical Saturday night, or....

I think Robinson "chose" to leave because he was gently pushed out the door. Odoh was recruited by JJ, so his leaving for LSU was a no brainer unless we had continued to block LSU and TB had come through with the necessary persuasion. Norris is still a young unknown. I saw him play more than once in high school and he has skills to play at this level IMO. Certainly our current level.
-
They generally shot better last year so it's hard not to look for blame somewhere. Of course it's not just shooting since it's pretty much everything.
-
Or just maybe because of TB.
-
Yeah right. It's like this team can throw ANYONE in the dumpster who can hit a shot from 15 feet. GMAB.
-
To answer the thread title, yes it is. On both counts.
-
Yes, reassignment ASAP is the way to go. The question is, would he be more likely to find a job if he were reassigned now or after the end of the season? Hopefully I'm talking about this season.

TB ran off one of our best shooters in Forrest Robinson. Based on Benford's basketball knowledge, I've just got to think that Robinson, Odoh, and Norris are going to turn out to be big-time stars. They are good enough for LSU and DePaul but not for us? Last night's performance made me feel like a fool for being there, and for dragging three other people with me who will likely never return. Very depressing.

I called over there, and was told that you can now get Santa's tickets at The Super Pit beginning at 6:00 PM. Gate B.
-
So you're saying that the coach finally overcomes the players?
-
I do wish they would make it easier to get the free tickets. Getting up to Apogee before 5:00 tomorrow isn't going to happen for me, so bringing 4 friends may be a long shot without my dishing out a serious sales pitch.

UNT lands JC offensive lineman Justin Manu

Wouldn't matter since all they would do is throw up bricks from the perimeter anyway. -
That is simply not true. I have done work for two members of my immediate family who are attorneys and do this for a living, and I have personally witnessed both felonies and misdemeanors expunged from individuals records in Texas where there was no final record of conviction. The DPS is also obligated to request the FBI to return and destroy the arrest records as well. Of course you always have to deal with cleaning up your records with the "Been Verified" companies of the world, but that usually isn't a big problem once you get the court order. Another option in keeping bad stuff from following you around the rest of your life is an order of non-disclosure, where the arrest records are only allowed to be viewed by law enforcement and such. Our two guys may be in line for that one, but only if they end up with a deferred adjudication and manage to stay out of trouble.
-
Agreed. There has got to be a point where enough is enough. The 20th game with zero progress would be enough for me.
-
Unfortunately, at many jobs these days they're going to check you out for arrests no matter what you put on your application. So in that sense, even with only an arrest and no conviction on your record, it is often guilty until proven innocent with many employers. Intellius, Been Verified, and the DPS are only a couple of clicks away. Getting a quality attorney right off the bat is critical, because if you get the best outcome possible it increases your chances of getting the whole record of the incident expunged a couple of years down the road. Of course an expungement ain't always gonna come cheap, but it's probably worth it to most people in this day and age. I recently heard the reliable story of a guy who got an old Class A misdemeanor arrest AND conviction expunged in a small Texas county for $10,000 even though his basis for reversal was shaky at best. I guess the best way to go is to just avoid getting into trouble in the first place.

We didn't hire him to groom him as a head coach, we hired him to coach these guys THIS SEASON! It's just unbelievable how this team has regressed from last season. Those Summer practices that TB praised so much sure really helped prep this team.
-
Look up the lowest scoring game post-shot clock, since we're likely going to need that info. for future reference.
-
Glad I didn't make a hundred mile round trip for this one. Did anybody show up?
-
Interesting that LR beat Tulsa, but not so sweet for us to see that San Jacinto whipped ULL.
-
Hope they enjoy The Belt after Boise and Diego go home and create the next domino effect.
-
So...are you saying that you have NEVER EVER committed a misdemeanor of any kind? Honestly. I'm certainly not insinuating that you're a thief, but I would lay down big money that every person on this board has committed a misdemeanor at some point in their lives. No one is defending these guys, and I just hope that this incident was more an act of momentary stupidity than a 100% indictment of their overall character. I don't know them personally, but hopefully this will serve as a wake up call for them before they go out and do something even more stupid.
-
Some guys in this world don't grow up in sweet loving households packed with money, so some consideration should be on the table here IMO. On the other hand, I can't stand thieves myself, but we are talking about some young guys here. I wasn't always an angel myself as a`teenager, and I'd hate to think about how stifled my outlook on life would be today if I had been one. Sometimes people just need to learn from their F'ups. Hope these two learn, because they both have been given a great opportunity to do something positive with their lives at NT.

Breaking news — UNT lands top JC cornerback
foutsrouts replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Great vertical and an even better signing.
