I wouldn't think that having a school like TCU actually coach us on how to get better attendance would be necessary, since what they do is generally pretty much open to observation by anyone. Then again I've never been a marketing guru so who knows.

Yeah, it can be pretty ridiculous. I agree that baseball should be outside, but The Ballpark is Hell after this time of year even at night. If it had been domed I would probably have season tickets. I guess I've just gotten too spoiled by A/C to sweat through 50/60 sweltering nights/days. Still a great stadium regardless, but it would be much better suited if it were a couple of hundred miles north away from the Gulf humidity and typical North Texas heat.

Being born in Houston, I don't think MM Park is bad at all. I was there for the opening exhibition at "Enron" and watched Berkman pop a homer to right center. Even bought a brick outside the park. Having said that, I actually prefer the old Dome. I grew up loving that old place as a kid.

I just have to say that somehow it feels better beating out Maryland for recruits than it does beating out SW Adventist and OK Wesleyan. Even better than Dallas Baptist.

There seems to be a tendency these days to lump all gays together like they are all one and the same. Based on the gays I've known in my life, that just simply isn't true. Some seem to be more genetically predisposed, others just seem to have gone that direction to find some kind of group or social acceptance, while others just went that way for what probably can be easier sex. Everyone and everyone's motives are often different no matter their orientation. As far as the Collins situation is concerned, I really think that the whole thing has been overblown.

I think we should just wait and see rather than play judge and jury. I'm certainly not defending him because this definitely sux, but as far as I know he ran into one of his former arresting officers who "kinda" had it in for him, and he refused to blow (for whatever reason) even though he had only put down 3-4 beers. Of course I'm being optimistic with that thought but you never know. I am definitely curious about that unknown arrest though.

Unless he's somehow gun shy (which I doubt), or has some kind of other negative intangible that we're unaware of, I say we go all out for him. Hell, we ain't Kansas, so we absolutely have to gamble here and there when the potential fruits of that gamble could be seriously good.

He has the body to possibly make some money playing this game three years from now, but he's gonna have to work his tail off both mentally and physically if he wants that to happen. Sure wish I had that option.

IMO, I think we're developing a .500 CUSA roster, but unfortunately the guy in the suits makes us a .300 CUSA team.
