I think he's a good guy, but my love level would be much higher had he not decided to pick up and move a high school program to Denton. The experiment may have very well succeeded had he surrounded himself with veteran coaches. Hell, I'd buy him a burger. And maybe even fries on the side.

I agree with you on that, but I'm sure hoping that Tulsa isn't just a prayer game for us. No doubt they will get it together offensively, but they definitely have a lot of question marks on the other side of the ball.

I guess another interesting tidbit would be that we are going on the road to Athens twice this year. If we only had scheduled Trinity Valley, we could do the trifecta.

I guess we should have come up with that french fry promotion after all. Nice win regardless. In all honesty, I hope we get a large parking garage near the stadium ASAP, because there truly are a lot of wimps and older (and fatter) people who just aren't willing to do the long heat walk that they could avoid when we were at Fouts. We're losing out on some of our marginal fans until we either win like Hell, or the walk is more comfortable for those types.

I'd really like to beat both Tulane and Tulsa this year, since they both apparently seem to think that they are too good to hangout in the same conference as North Texas.

I've been thinking this Summer that their "goodness" has been based on recent past performance only. They lost a whole lot of talent. I guess past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

Tulsa's is too close to "The Tulsa Golden Showers", and Tulane's sounds like they copied it from Alabama. I rank ours number one for originality.

That offensive line looks as deep and talented as anyone's. If we can just get the QB play to go along with receivers who come through and get the job done, I don't see why this team can't score a whole lot of points. Of course none of that matters if we don't get the right moves coming from the sideline, but I'm fairly optimistic overall. I'm thinking that we're finally due a pleasant surprise season here in Mean Green Country.
