A lot of truth to your posts, but a major betch in regard to the running game, is that we were supposed to have a superior OL over what almost amounted to a second team OL on their side of the ball. I wish I could say our OL/RB's were young and inexperienced, but that excuse doesn't work this time around. About the only thing I know (IMO) is that the running game cost us a chance to win this game. Wish we had more than one game before Georgia to try and figure this out.

He's definitely not a quick QB, but the strange thing is that I thought he looked much quicker against Idaho than he did last season, and I was thinking that it was weight loss related. Maybe he has a little insect in his family tree, and that cool Ohio air slowed him down to a crawl? I don't know, but I suspect we'll be seeing him play again in 100 degree weather next week regardless. Just hopefully not for a full 60 minutes.

So true. 2.7 a carry isn't going to get it done vs. anybody. Did we overrate our OL/RB's, or is a lot of this on play calling? I guess time will tell.

Run first teams don't win games averaging 2.7 yards per carry. We were lucky to be in the game.

I agree. Blame goes everywhere tonight, but I put this loss on the coaches more than anyone.

We are a significantly better team overall than we have been the last few years. That's about the only positive I get out of this.

I was screaming for a timeout and just didn't get it. Mac needs to reconsider his field "Generalship" after this game. Some pretty bad decisions IMO.

This game is not on DT. Sure he had a couple of F'ups, but this loss goes on the team as a whole as well as the coaching staff. A couple of the 4th downs decisions were just plain stupid in this game. Tough loss, and now time to play "Ball."

Sadly, I've known that feeling. Idaho was just driving inside the 30 but failed on 4th down. This is going to be a tough one for them to win without a bunch of breaks.

Is disliking other members of your conference a new phenomena? I always thought it was traditional. Hmmm...go figure.

I agree. We don't yet really know how good/bad Idaho is, and if they hang with what appears to be an unusually good Wyoming team, I'm thinking that we'll have a better gauge. Not that any of that really matters at this point though, since all that matters is winning on Saturday.

Yes, people seem to forget that we racked up a lot of yards and scored some pretty serious points under Dodge. If it weren't for utter stupidity in the other aspects of the game, we could have been a pretty good team.

We still had a running game during the Dodge years. Unfortunately we couldn't stop the run or anything else during the Dodge years.

I've been a big Cowboys fan in the past, but now I've kinda gotten to the point where I'm a "show me or I'm not really gonna give a damn" kind of fan. Witten, Dez, a "talented" Romo, a kicker, LANCE, BRIAN, and a couple of LB's are about all I'm really seeing there. The rest seem to be mediocre, very young, injured or injury prone. Hope they prove me wrong, but I'll be slightly surprised if they're even 8-8 once again.

The "America's Team" thing is still there but fading fast. People pretty much up to the age of 25 only remember one playoff win, so how can young people continue that legacy as long as Jerry is still around to make stupid moves? I'm honestly not sure if Stephen will do any better. That being said, it's fantastic having Mr. Waters back playing in North Texas. He was one Hell of a TE for us.

Aren't the Texans that team with one playoff win in 17 years? No way they could compete with America's Team.
