    I'd be surprised at this point if he really wanted any job other than Iowa if he's successful here, but I've been surprised before. The call of Ben Franklin can be pretty enticing.

    Along with student turnout (and winning), the obvious thing is to find a way get Denton County people involved. Depending on alumni to drive up from DFW and fill the stadium just seems like a hopeless cause. At least for now.

    Attack like Hell and win. Winning a game like this is what puts you on the map. Also, don't defer to the second half after winning the toss.

    Yes, I guess we have to blame DT for this win. I really can't think of anyone else to blame, so that beastard is probably numero uno on the list once again this week. Same ole same ole.

    Who cares. Yin/Yang, left/right, conservative/liberal, whatever/whatever. I guess we need the extremes on both sides so that most can find a way to work themselves toward the middle. I'm just freaking glad that we won.

    Looks like you're correct. Last time we played was '75, and they are 1-5 against us. Not sure that makes them a regional rival though.

    Since when was Wayland Baptist a regional rival of ours?

    I'd like to see Jimmerson break out with a big play or two. We haven't seen much of anything thus far, and it would be nice to at least see him catch a pass or two with space. Four catches for five yards from our RB's last week usually isn't going to cut it.

    I was listening to that 4th quarter, and it really sounded unreal. As in an extra 6-7 figures to get out of town with a loss unreal. Seriously, it just had that feel to it.

    This is a very good thing. Out of curiosity, does anyone know if there are future plans for the train to branch off directly to the NT campus area? Thought I heard something about that years ago.

    Lot's of folks on this site have turned on the guy that they wanted to be starting QB and savior after his short-lived performance in that Arky State game many moons ago, so nothing new there.

    If someone would just move that cart out of the way, I could see those bowl projections more clearly.

    I agree. I think it would play more to our strengths as would the 3-4.

    Glancing at the stats, when your RB's have 4 receptions for 5 yards you know you have a problem somewhere. Especially since that was supposed to be a bigger part of our offense this year.

    I was raised an Oilers and Astros fan, and at the moment I would be nuts to be a fan of either.

    I believe I remember a Jimmerson quote two or three weeks ago where he said he was down to 210. I'm not seeing that increased quickness thus far.

    With the exception of the defenseless TD years, it seems like that has been the strategy in Denton for nearly all of the past 100 years.
