My thoughts exactly. Sounds like a very divisive and discriminatory group. Pretty soon we'll have a left-handers only graduation in protest for the world being set up for righties. Maybe I'll sneak in and get up and walk out in protest when the speaker hits the podium.

UNT to move ahead with plan to purchase Sack N Save
foutsrouts replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
So we'll have to endure 5 more years of it? -
Is Obama a graduate of Notre Dame, Michigan, Hampton, and the Naval Academy, since he has delivered commencement speeches at all four as a sitting president? Also, do you berate your parents at every opportunity for our "obliterated economy" and ruined environment? In all seriousness, getting all up in arms about a new sitting Texas governor speaking on campus is ridiculous and bordering on lunacy IMO. This university needs all of the help it can get from the powers that be, and I kind of doubt that he will be speaking against gays, drug legalization, and closing our borders to illegals at the event. It all stinks of complaining just for the sake of complaining. I think we'll somehow muddle through and survive this horrible media shitstorm that will rain down upon us.

I think our philosophy is to play there exclusively for recruiting purposes.

Great to hear. Remember him well.

Sometimes rebellion against government policies and such can be a positive thing, and I'm not directing that thought specifically at the Confederate flag or the Civil War. Our founding fathers based the Constitution upon that premise.

DRC: UNT looking at QB options in spring
foutsrouts replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
But the really pressing question is, will Chumley suddenly become ineligible for our national championship game in January of 2020, since the spring semester may have already begun by game time? Seriously, I've wondered in the past about sports that cross over into two semesters, but I guess "seasons" is the operative word. -

Good point. Could be why his vertical was pretty unimpressive too. Wonder what Sheldon Wade's 40 was? The scores that Vito did list for him were pretty damn good.- 48 replies

Hope that our current players aren't avoiding the weight room like some of our former players seem to be. Kudos for Akunne. Just hit that bench a little harder.- 48 replies

MGB: Tuesday practice wrap with QB update
foutsrouts replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
I have a hard time calling McNulty a "tall QB," since I did the "stand next to test" (which someone on this board made famous) around 2 and a half years ago, and he didn't even look to be quite a legit 6 footer to me. I guess maybe he could have grown a couple of inches since then. Regardless, I just hope this staff (and a certain QB) wakes up to the QB situation and lets the best man win regardless of size or stature. I'm afraid that we're going to have a tough time winning without getting a major spark from the position. -

I'm just worried that Mac will find another one. -
Name one positive thing about 2015 UNT Football
foutsrouts replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Ford will go from 80 to 99% green by the second half. -
In the pretty much 27 years of UNT money sports, we've basically had the the 3-4 year DD run, the 1 year DM run, and the 5-6 year JJ run, so I can't argue much with your statement.

HAHAHA! UCLA just made my day. An smu guy with season tickets backed out at the last hour on giving me tickets to their last home game, and I look at this as a little revenge. Maybe my "Go Stangs" BS on our last email communication was a little too much play acting?
-
Yeah, which means we're better than ISU. At least from a warped point of view. GSU over Baylor is even more shocking to me. When you win turnovers 21-6, and steals 13-2 I guess these things happen.
-
Amazing win. Kicked ass on the boards. Destroyed my bracket since I had ISU going to 16. I guess Benny can say we're a top 32 team now.

Boise in the Final 4? OK. Interesting that Mike/Jim Wacker's son/grandson plays for them. I've got Wisconsin over Gonzaga in the final (beating Wichita and UVA in the Final 4), even though common sense tells me that Kentucky will be there. SMU's lucky in a way to get a pretty weak UCLA team, but they'll get spanked by ISU if they get past the Bruins.

28% from the field. Why not just find some walkons who can shoot and throw up 3's all day. Pathetic.
-
I don't think we have a pure anything.

Lucky to be this close at the half.

The small privates must be embarrassed.
