Considering that this site has over 13,500 registered users (obviously not all fans), I'm not so sure that a pretty hefty percentage of our fan base isn't at least aware of this board. Of course that kind of depends on how we define our fan base, and based on our season ticket sales our "true" fan base numbers leave a lot of room for improvement.

I think we hit 6, but that will no doubt require a major improvement when you consider that our 4 victories last year were over teams with a combined overall record of 8-40.

It sure would be nice if Jimmerson could make that jump as well, since he showed bursts of high level potential during his freshman year. I too don't get the DT/McNulty comparisons. I see very little comparison between the two physically or otherwise.

And the corner jumping those short out routes tends to result in pick sixes as we've seen so often during the Mac era. Isn't avoiding turnovers supposed to be at the top of the list in Mac's offensive philosophy?

So as far as votes go, La Tech and Marshall are ranked #42 and #43 respectively, which basically gives us 3 opponents currently thought of as being in the top third of college football. Somehow I think I would accept 9-3 plus a bowl win.

Yep, three and sometimes four year QB's can pay off in a big way, and of course I'm referring to talented FBS caliber QB's Coaches Mac/Chico. We've just got to get that position fixed going forward.

To put it simply, we've just got to find a way to score more points. If you take out our 2 opponents last season who were the worst in the country in their respective divisions (smu/Nichols), we averaged just over 20 points per game. That's just not going to cut it when the average NCAA team scored close to 30.

My Mac complaints can pretty much be found somewhere in the QB threads, so no need for regurgitation here. We'll see what this season brings.

Even with our AD, I'll be shocked if he gets year 5 unless he produces a winning season accompanied by some noise in the conference tourney. If he does get year 5 without any of that, I think it'll be time to organize an official protest.

McNulty and DT are equals? Geez...I guess there is hope after all, especially since our special teams should be well above mediocre IMO. Also, I don't think most expected our defense to be as good as it was two years ago. We shall have to wait and see once again on that one.

Of course McNulty deserves his chance, but so does everybody else at the position. A FAIR chance for EVERYBODY is the key.

They recruited exceptionally well this year, but few of those recruits will be on the field this season. Our new QB (what!!) is roughly from their neck of the woods, and a 2015 repeat of 1975 just sounds right to me from a numerical point of view. NT 31 UT 21. Take the money and run.
