After last season, no argument from me.

190 miles between Air Force and Laramie, and 120 miles between Air Force and Ft. Collins. That proximity might help out a little in sports other than football. I agree that we would need a contract bump up in the MWC, but I'm not overly worried about later start times in football. We're only talking 4 (or 5) MWC road games, and they tend to have a lot of afternoon starts in the cold climes anyway. Basketball is a little different story.

Or God forbid replace the Bethunes and Incarnates of the world with SEC road games. But at least you have 3 of them lumped together around Denver in AF, Colorado State, and Wyoming. Being in the MWC wouldn't totally break my heart.

They were still D2 (and previously NAIA) even after we had dropped from 1A to 1AA. Sounds like some are getting a bit greedy.

He's a little on the thin side for a DE at the moment, but Mclin out of Carthage could be an intriguing prospect. Maybe Goree and Rutherford can put in a good word for us.

About time that we got another quality DT with a "3" at the front of his weight. It's probably no coincidence that our best teams over the past dozen years or so were anchored by a couple of disruptive forces named Booger and Abbey. Welcome aboard!

I think our offense will be much improved, and I think our special teams will be more special than they were last year. In other words, I think this season will hinge mostly on whether or not we can have a much improved defense along with a marked improvement from the guys along the sidelines. Since I'm not exactly sure where that much improved defense will come from, I have no freaking idea how many games we can come up with next season, but I'm not ruling out in any way of our winning 6. Luckily some of our conference mates are losing some pretty special players.

We all know that there's much more to conference affiliation than a nice football victory run in a G5 conference, and Baylor is clearly superior to Boise in virtually every other category IMO. Not that Baylor's shorter football run has been unimpressive itself.

For one, how is Boise superior to Baylor? Boise's football run has been a few years longer than Baylor's, but that's pretty much it.

His QB rating ranking of 61st his senior year would say that he was a little above average. But only if you believe in such things of course.

If he had 2 or more years left I would be jumping up and down ecstatic, but with only one year left I'm just ecstatic without all of the jumping up and down. Great get regardless Seth, and let's hope that this is only the beginning of picking up these kind of recruits.
