  1. I may be getting up there a bit, but if I remember correctly we did have color back in the 80's. My parent's generation was the one that lived life in black and white. LOL!
  2. #4 and #8 deserve an asterisk.
  3. Last year's record was a farce. We threw away a few very close games for a variety of reasons including DD's messy situation. I think we were basically a .500 team, and an improvement by a couple of games over that is what I'm expecting.
  4. Just out of curiousity, does anyone know what it looked like just west of Fouts back before I-35 was built? Just wondering if Fouts was built up next to a two lane highway or if there was any major road at all next to the stadium a half century or so ago.
  5. Isn't that why Lee Jackson is here?
  6. IF we stayed on the Fouts site you wouldn't have to move much of anything other than ditching the track and dragging the endzone bleacher seats. Just trash the whole alumni side and build what you can afford twenty yards to the east. I personally prefer a new stadium next to the AC, but there is something to be said for building it in stages at the current site near The Superpit. I guess we'll know more in a few months.
  7. Part of the college experience is about creating memories. Would you rather create memories in a sterile, homogeneous, surveillance camera infested corporate environment, or in an area which possesses a little history and uniqueness? I for one am going to miss Fry Street. The world is going to continue churning out cookie cutter suburbia, but the Fry Streets of the world are few and far between. Besides, people are going to "get drunk and get drugs" regardless of their environment.
  8. Starr's probably hiding in TD's bushes at this very moment ready to snap a picture of TD handing RD his weekend allowance.
  9. Yeah, and I guess the jealous athletes of the world will also say that he was doped up at the age of 14 when he was blowing away 25 year olds in triathlons. Ridiculous.
  10. If they would only start factoring in white collar crime the Punies would be hands down champions every year. Not fair!
  11. I agree that it is pretty lame to talk about his departure before he has even coached one game, but I guess I'll bite since there isn't a whole lot to discuss before two a days. I personally think that we have an excelllent chance of retaining the guy for the long-term. With any success at all over the coming couple of years, I expect that he will be attracting HUGE interest from the top prospects in this state. When the new stadium rears its beautiful head, it will even add more likelihood that he will develop a high level of love for this great university. I am being called for dinner at the moment, but I also think that the SL connection will be very beneficial to the whole situation. Just think, five thousand new fans from SL that ONLY pay ten bucks a piece for five games will more than cover his current salary. Kind of makes ya think. Happy fourth!
  12. I'd love to have him in here for his final two years. From what I saw of him in high school he could use a little work on his outside shot, but otherwise he is very talented.
  13. A. (partially) because there is no way in hell that we lose to the nags after whipping OU.
  14. It's certainly something worthy of discussion, but it's definitely not something worth arguing about. Dickey showed a lack of class when he exited, but he was in charge when we stuffed our trophy case over a four year period. Even for those who seriously dislike DD, it was Mac's money and I have no problem at all with his naming rights.
  15. Yeah, I'm usually for giving a kid a second chance but he sounds a little on the rough side to me. Now if he were a fundamentally sound '6 10'' 275 with a sweet jump hook.........
  16. What about Blue Devils? Shouldn't that be offensive to the Satanists among us? We still do have freedom of religion in this country don't we? Geez.......
  17. Hell, if we're going to convict a teenager for an ARREST before he's tried than we certainly don't deserve a law school. I certainly don't want any proven bad apples around campus, but the big picture of the kid's character takes precedence over one alleged incident. Let's wait and see how it shakes out before condemnation.
  18. Maybe not. I'm thinking that our defense could be much better than expected. On the other hand, how our offense will perform early on is a complete mystery to me. We shall see soon enough.
  19. I mean me four.
  20. Me three.
  21. Where the heck do you play in Hot Springs? I spent a good bit of time there a few years ago, and I don't really recall much of a sports venue besides the racetrack. Maybe they've built something new there in the past decade or so.
  22. Nice except dump the punies. I want nothing to do with them except to give them an occasional ass whipping. Believe it or not, but I heard from a very reputable source that they did their damn best to block our UNT Law School AGAIN! Getting very tired of those punks and I hope we teach them a serious lesson this coming September!!
  23. Probably the curse of that old Arlington State TICKET kid.
  24. Throw in Jordan Case. I'm buying a car from him next week and I'd like a nice deal.
  25. Couldn't of played D1A this coming season anyway.
