  1. Just kidding of course, but I just can't help but bitch about our play on the defensive side of the ball. I've been following NT since the 70's, and this is BY FAR the worst defensive performance that I've ever seen. We have always been at least competitive on that side of the ball, and tonight we tackled like a bunch of wimps. I was definitely conccerned about us not hiring a COLLEGE experienced DC, and my worst fears look like they may be coming to fruition. I don't mean to leave out our offensive ineptutude, but I guess I'm willing to give them a little more time since most are rookies. Sure I'm pissed, but maybe the Sooners are the best team in history and we come back and kill the Ponies next week. We shall see.
  2. Talk about being overly sensitive, Geez! Smu can have you.
  3. With Some us are still pissed about what the refs did to us in Austin 20 years ago. That one DID cost us a game. With our new offense attempting to get on track, it would be nice if the refs don't show their bias too much. It's gonna be tough enough moving the ball without having to face a bunch of 1st and 25 crap every series.
  4. I can sure see him carrying 210, but 230 lbs. on his frame? Man that's a lot of extra tacos. He must of been DD's midnight taco eating partner for awhile. Glad that's over with. Tear 'em up Jamo!
  5. Dickey will have to wear a Trojan raincoat to protect himself from the onslaught of the boys from Troy. After getting banged up by the Trojans, the Hogs will be Nutt-less.
  6. At least our DL's are similar in size and our Center is bigger than theirs. Hell, I could find a positive in a pile of monkey dung.
  7. I guess this means that you won't be receiving an invite for Thanksgiving dinner in Grand Prairie this year?
  8. That must be what they call a fangdango.
  9. We keep the turnovers to a minimum and we "Boise" 'em 43-42.
  10. On a more serious note, they forgot about the Oiler's playoff collapse vs Buffalo in '93. They blew a dominating 35-3 halftime lead by completely falling apart. Easily one of the most ridiculous games I've ever seen.
  11. Yeah, and if anyone thinks it would be a guaranteed loss I disagree. Miami lost six games last year and beat a pretty good U of H team (10-4) 14-13, beat a terrible Duke team (0-12) 20-15, and lost to an average Virginia team (5-7) 17-7. A victory in Miami next year would not have been TOTALLY out of the question.
  12. And Death Valley is? I'm not happy that it was cancelled. My girlfriend is from down there, and I was hoping to catch the game and spend a long Labor Day weekend in Florida next year.
  13. Well, then maybe we should start the guy with the most eligibility every year since they are the future.
  14. I agree, except for the possibility that TD could possibly have a timeline agenda (LOL) as far as who will be the starter over the next five year time period. A true freshman out there is pretty scary in some ways, but I'm certainly willing to let the man do his job and make the right decision.
  15. Geez, the guy just got here and has yet to coach a game! If he wants secrecy at this point, then I say he should get secrecy at this point. He'll probably loosen up after the ball gets rolling. As far as media attention is concerned, I am sure we will get our share once we start winning football games. If we don't win football games, none of it really matters much anyway.
  16. We could obviously use a little more beef and experience in there, but we've got what we've got. Having said that, I'm still cautiously optimistic about this group. I just hope that they can come together early in the season and avoid injuries. Btw, last time I looked we are only TWO weeks and a day from ground zero U. My how time flys!
  17. A legit 6" 250 was a pretty good sized O-Lineman back in the seventies. A lot of the Cowboy's offensive linemen were in the 250 pound range.
  18. On a more serious note, I just got back from a cross country car trip up through the Midwest and back down the Eastern Seaboard. We stopped and toured a lot of schools and stadiums including still 1AA WKU. I wasn't very impressed with WKU's Bowling Green campus, but the double decker eastern side of their stadium was pretty impressive. Now they picked up close to 40 million to renovate the west side along with the endzones. If little Western Kentucky in little old Bowling Green can do it, why the hell can't we? Pretty depressing. Also, I was very impressed with Louisville's new Papa John's Stadium down the road from WKU. It's amazing what a little success can do for you. http://www.wkusports.com/news.cgi?article=5513&sports=5
  19. Luckily, Tony Romo is out of eligibility.
  20. Nice to see we have a BIG young guy like Kaiser arriving on campus in an area that we have some serious needs. TD seems to be going coast to coast to find some quality guys to bring in at the last moment. As I've said before, quite a few changes going on here in Mean Green Land!!
  21. If he had gone to UT, he might have ended up rooming in the vicinity of SHSU.
  22. Didn't DD wear something like that in our last home game?
  23. I wanna see some shakin, but I don't want it to start until we're a more attractive alternative. Hopefully in a couple of short years.
  24. It's early in the morning so my eyes may be deceiving me, but is the guy with the backwards cap spiking his drink or is he packing heat?
