What kind of crowd showed up? I would of been there, but am down in the Houston area tonight. Plan on definitely hitting the WKY game.

YeeeeeeeeeeeeeSSSS! Nice win and nice game from the two big H's (Hogans and Howerton). I was hoping that this three game home stretch could give us some confidence going into a month before the tourney, and I hope that turns out to be true. Missing 3 out of 4 Frees at the end didn't help much, but at least we pulled it out against a very good team.

Not too many 17-18 year olds have felony convictions since that clock doesn't generally start running until your 17th birthday. I guess it's pretty much a character call at that age if there's nothing criminally verifiable in a kid's background. That can often be a crapshoot.

I've been there several times over the years, and it's MUCH better than it was 20 years or so ago. But the bottom line is, that place still sux in a major way. Probably the worst 100k plus place to live in the state IMO. At least Waco is only 100 miles from both DFW and Austin.

This team has got to jell and jell quickly. Injuries etc. have obviously been a major problem, but I still don't think that we've figured out who the "go to guy" is yet during crunch time. I think we had similar problems last year before we finally pulled out of it a bit before the conference tourney. Hope we start figuring things out as a team VERY soon.

Depressing evaluation. Hopefully he has been afflicted with the 24 month flu and is just beginning the process of recovery. Fifty pounds can come on pretty quickly after that kind of thing.

I'll be there also. Btw, ditch everyone and everything including your job, wife (lol), and cellphone for at least 3-4 days before you take the exam. I had no business passing that thing the first time out with no review courses or even an accounting degree, but I basically locked myself in my apartment for five days with nothing but my Gleim books, TV dinners, and a case of beer to put me to sleep at night and it worked out well. The most telling stat for Dennis tonight, with all the touches that he had, was that he had just one turnover. I saw the guy in high school and I think he's gonna be very special here.

Las Cruces is almost like driving to Denver for a game. At least you get to ski in Denver. Not sure what you get to do in Las Cruces besides desert hiking.

We need this win bad. 0-3 start would make things difficult. Btw, we missed out on some nice Houston Chronicle pub by losing both of our first two games. They had a front page article on the seven Texas teams with 10 wins.

Odufawa (sp), Stewart, Hogans, Howerton, and Knox doesn't sound too bad for next year on the inside, but we could definitely use a big JC transfer for defense and boards next year. Odufawa will hopefully be ready to make a nice contribution right off the bat as far as inside scoring is concerned, but we certainly need someone to come in and replace all of the things that Quincy does out there on the court. Preferably 6' 10" or better.

Our could be 2-10 after tomorrow. Where have I hear those numbers before? Seriously, I think we have a WHOLE lot of talent on this team and will get it together soon.

Yeah, I think it was posted here back when it came out. Interesting to bring it up again as I kind of forgot about it. Could provide an impetus for a couple of more 1AA teams to try and get in the mix as quickly as possible. I guess those teams could include: San Marcos, San Antonio (?), Appalachian State, Florida A&M, Georgia Southern, Missouri State (MAC connection) and who knows who else. Two division Belt?

Yeah, personally I'm a bit bored with CUSA. Other than the reminiscence factor of the regionally located three small private schools and U of H, that conference doesn't really do much for me anymore. Bring on someone else.

Upsetting loss. Every loss like this obviously makes it more difficult for us to play post-season without an outright SBC tourney championship like last year. I guess we're still not yet quite sure how good of a team we have here. Somehow I'm still confident that we'll eventually get it together.

Hmmm. Surprised to see a handful of those guys on the list, but most of those guys had body part failure more than the norm. Most of the accused make sense.

Attendance. But yeah, I agree. NT and TCU would by far bring in the most fans, but a tournament involving the four local D1 schools would be interesting. Something that should be worked on.

I attended 3 Rice games (including TT) and find it hard to believe that they averaged over 13k. Even the TT crowd was surprisingly small. Also interesting to note that the 3 WAC teams in the bottom 9 are SBC refugees. Would of looked pretty bad if 4 out of the 9 were from The Belt.
