If our attendance were well over 5k we might have a chance, but since that's not the case I'm afraid not.

hope nobody drowned.

Saw that number in the paper the other day as well. Pretty incredible points/boards/assists (29.7/9.5/4.5) numbers if these stats are correct. Maybe they got the games played wrong because the math looks right. http://www.dallasnew...all-news/#stats

They worked their butts off more than I have seen the entire year. No complaints at all about defensive effort or otherwise. Just one of those crappy things that happens in life even though we looked like the better team. BOL in life after NT basketball Seniors, and thanks for the memories.

Really one of the most devastating losses I've experienced, and I've experienced more than a few. Josh getting his pocket picked, and the ticky tacky foul call that caused a 4-5 point turnaround hurt, but Josh made up for it pretty well with his monster 25 foot plus three, and we also had Shannons monster three from the corner. It seemed almost a sure thing that we had the game, and IMO we were clearly the better team. If I'm going to complain about the last scenario that unfolded, I guess I can say that the SBC player of the year should have been pressured in backcourt and not allowed to run free for the winning shot. On the other hand, who the Hell knew that he was going to hit that three. Great game all around from the guys, and it was not hard to see their incredible effort. If this loss is devastating for me, it's not hard to imagine how devastating it is for our great team. Best of luck to you Seniors in your future endeavors. You all are good enough to play again somewhere if you choose.

My dream matchup would have us replace Long Beach in that bracket against #2 Texas in Tulsa. Not only could I go to the game, but I think they're beatable and our Tristan Thompson is better than their Tristan Thompson. I'll take a quadruple OT victory tonight on a full court heave by Ben Knox, but a blowout victory wouldn't bother me a bit.

Bump! It's fun being right every once in awhile! These games have been a blast. Everyone who even knows anyone with a car needs to be here tomorrow night. It's going to be a great victory, it's not a very long drive, and my crystal balls are saying we win 89-69 with another incredible start by TT, and with more angry All Conference snub production again from George and Josh. Great to see the entire team step up the way they have. We're going dancing again, and I want a matchup with the boys from Austin! Great win guys!

I've always thought that the guy was special, but after his perfomance against K-State in the tourney last year I began to think that he was extra special. He certainly showed that tonight, and I think that he will show it for us a few more nights before he's done here. He's a guy who will "play on Sundays" if he really wants to. Great job by everyone out there tonight , and I think we're going back to that dance once again! GO GREEN!!!!

Awfully quiet around here for a day where it's win or go home until November. Hope this means that everyone is at the game. We're heading out to the Land of Arkies tomorrow morning after our big win tonight. BOL Green!

Didn't know Woodlands Christian Academy was 5A UIL.

George and Josh need to hit this tourney with fire in their eyes! One out of 15 is ridiculous, especially when you consider that long tenured Seniors usually get a little extra credit when it comes to post-season awards.

We'll dismantle them like droopy-eyed armless children!

I'm certainly optimistic about next year's group of rookies, but that's a pretty crappy thing for anyone to say publicly at this point in the game. Btw, are you TM's guidance counselor, or do you have some other way of being so positive about his future on the court at NT? Just wondering.

I feel very strongly that we will beat Troy to setup a big match against FAU, where I believe a win could likely propel us to the final. Both games are revenge matchups, and I'm betting that we will respond. I think we are plain and simply better than Troy, and our loss to them on the road was just one of those screwups that happens during a season. FAU did beat us pretty handily at home, but they are FAR from unbeatable. We are just going to have to have someone step up and have a special game like Shannon did for us in Little Rock. I believe in our chances against Troy enough to have just made plans to head to Hot Springs on Sunday morning.

Injuries/depth/defense and maybe a problem or two behind the scenes that has hopefully been corrected. You'll have to ask Josh how he feels before anybody can set a starting lineup. With so few players, I suspect that anyone who can walk will be getting significant PT if we can make it far into this 4 game marathon.
-
This is the SBC, so I can pretty much see anyone winning this tourney. That being said, I think we're definitely one of the behind the scenes favorites, and most teams out there would prefer to not be bracketed with us. With this Senior laden team, I think we have a pretty decent chance to pull it off. The only problem is the injuries, and it's tough even for healthy teams to handle 4 games in 4 days.
-
We'll beat Troy, which means I'll probably load up the car on Sunday morning. I now give us a better than 50% chance of winning this thing. I just saw it in my crystal ball so I can't be wrong.

All it takes is the greasing of the right hands to be very powerful. Of course I'm not saying they would do that, but there is a history.
-
True. I guess you have to go a few miles north and west to hit the Ozarks.
-
If you like free scenic workout recreation, there are a lot of nice hiking trails in the area. You can find plenty of resources/directions online. I've been to a few decent bars in town, but somehow don't recall their names. If you happen to be into museums and such, the Gangster Museum was fairly interesting but not free. Hot Springs is a pretty nice place to visit this time of year, especially if you get to witness a four in a row miracle in the Ozarks.

Personally, based on next year's recruiting class, I think loose money in regard to JJ is a good thing.
-
Ditto. Hope they are far from done.
-
Sorry to hear it, because I was fairly impressed with some of the minutes he put in last year after getting in decent game shape. We need a big body in a big way, because if Knox isn't quite ready for primetime next year, I would prefer that TM/Hogans not have to spend too much time guarding the opponents main big. BOL to Cam.
-
He looked to be moving around fine, but I kept waiting for him to get off the bench in the last 5 minutes to no avail. Maybe JJ didn't want to risk it with Hogans limping around the way he was. Anyone know if Hall is officially done? We sure could use another body out there in Hot Springs.

Very true, but unfortunately the only guy on this team who has the potential to score like an All-American is TT, and he hasn't shown much of that lately. I haven't given up yet, and I'll likely pack the car and head to Hot Springs if we win the first two (possibly one), but this has probably been the biggest letdown season I've experienced since I went to my first NT game as a young kid vs. DePaul. Before the season started, I would have said that we have two guys who might have a reasonable free agent shot at reaching the NBA dream, and another guy(s) who looks at JJ Barea and says "why not me," but at the moment I'm seeing a bunch of very average college basketball players. Hope we can pull off the miracle, because it will take just that based on what I've been seeing lately.
