  1. If we get everyone back for the 2012-2013 season, that could very well be our big year to make some serious noise, and I suspect that a shooter like that would be most welcome.
  2. Not that this necessarily applies to TM (or Dirk, or Derrick Rose, or Koby, or...), but based on what we've been seeing out of a lot of guys going pro early, IMO it's usually wise to stick around and get at least two college seasons under your belt. There's a lot of learning and maturation to be gained by the college experience, and as another poster said, next year's draft figures to be stacked. Then again there'e always that little thing called money.
  3. I think the guy can jam. Wow.
  4. Every great team needs a long range bomber. Come on down!
  5. All I see on Rivals are stats from 07, 08, and 09, and it has his class listed as 2010. Maybe I'm missing something, but last season's Seniors were in the Class of 2011.
  6. Very impressive stats for Wilhite. Wonder where he was last year?
  7. A lot of people don't like LA Tech, but I wouldn't mind adding them to the mix as well. If it is eventually going to come down to us vs them for USA membership, let's prove whose better on the fields and the courts before decision time. Besides, it's an easy drive for both parties.
  8. What football stories of great interest to the UNT community could those schools possibly have during the Summer months themselves? Recruiting violations?
  9. I'm pretty sure we've got the right Mitchell for the U19 championships in Latvia. The Alabama Tony Mitchell is a six six sophomore. That is a bit confusing. Especially since they're both training in Colorado. Two Tony Mitchell's just like there are two Tristan Thompson's. Hopefully it's confusing enough to where they'll draft our Tristan Thompson in the 1st round tomorrow night.
  10. Yes, and their championships were won against the powerhouses known as UC Davis and North Dakota State. They've only made the "1AA" playoffs twice since moving up nearly 30 years ago. Not overly impressive if you ask me. For regional rivalry reasons, I wouldn't mind being in the same conference with them years from now after they prove themselves, but for now please stay away.
  11. Must be a close race between two guys, and/or they want to keep a guy ready and in reserve in case of an injury situation. Pretty tough on the one who gets cut.
  12. I don't remember smu's on campus stadium, but I definitely remember their playing in Reverchon Park for a few years before they hung up the cleats. I never saw more than a couple of dozen fans at those games. Baseball attendance in general has certainly changed a lot since those days, and with all the talent in the area, I suspect we would be pretty successful sooner rather than later. Sure hope it becomes a high priority issue once we get the FB stadium up and running.
  13. So sorry. Things like this make your own everyday problems seem so minute. God Bless.
  14. Hope the games are on TV somewhere. Since everyone's complaining, think I'll watch it at someone else's place, since I'm liable to throw something at the TV everytime I hear the word "Missouri" in conjunction with his name. Don't think my new Mitsubishi can handle all that pounding.
  15. I agree. Let them pay their dues by trying out the Indy route if they want to play with the big boys. I feel no need to admit one school who has never even put on pads at any level, and another who has been a very mediocre (at best) FCS team since moving up from D2.
  16. I was thinking more along the line of a bruiser down low, but I've always hoped that we would start dipping into the international pipeline and this guy looks pretty good. Welcome aboard!
  17. Unless of course our roster is still employing the Riley Dodge Scale of Weights and Measures. When you add in our larger (listed) linebackers, we would have to have more than a couple sub-200 pound LB's to bring the average down to around two hundred pounds a piece. I sure hope that our DL is somewhere close to their listed size.
  18. I guess many of the injuries last year kind of speak for themselves on this subject. I imagine that Denton High would lose half their team to injuries as well if they were to join the SBC. Not a lot of time left here to get bigger, so I sure hope these guys really get serious over the next couple of months.
  19. Our LB's average 200 pounds? So for every 210 pounder we have a 190 pounder. Geez...someone must have neglected to inform Dodge that he was no longer at SLC.
  20. Sorry to see him go. I had forgotten that he was ranked as high as 62 in the state, so I guess JJ wasn't the only one who saw potential there. Sure hope jj has got his eye on a good big guy somewhere.
  21. Bet we're gonna have to deal with some funky north winds blowing in around that wing after we get past September. That thing does look much bigger in person.
  22. GPA jealousy?
  23. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=6553151 Got that one over with.
  24. Good point. Anyone have a clue as to how he did this semester?
  25. Hope we see him before Spring 2012, because we might need him earlier to get that far in The Dance.
