  1. Yes, I would be happy if we lost out last season that would mean our hack of a coach would have been replaced before this season and the new HC would hopefully be laying the foundation of a real program lead by a real coach. I agree, teams abilities do change over a season. The problem is they should be improving from game one, not reaching their floor in game 6 and hoping to reach their ceiling by seasons end. That happened last season and it didn't translate to the next. They took over games for us last year, they absolutely did. I have been a fan since 2004 and I have never seen two better pass rushers wearing green. There were actually people on this forum trying to give credit to Coach Asswaters for their success. How many defensive lineman have made a jump this season under his tutelage? That's fair, I get it. But our coach is in his seventh season, seventh. With zero conference championships, zero bowl wins, zero ten win seasons, three straight losing seasons, and an abysmal record vs. teams that end the season above .500, he's a bad coach and the sooner we cut ties the better our chances of being good in the AAC become.
  2. I’m so tired of reading that we have won 7 straight conf. games in the worst football conference. Only one of those teams were good and we would not have won it without the Murphy twins. Go rewatch that game they destroyed their tackles. It’s nothing of note, nothing to be proud of. The UNLV and SMU games showed nothing has changed.
  3. Listen to Vito's answer to the question at 3:45. His opinion is based on the past not the present. The crowd this past Saturday tells you all you need to know about whether or not it's time to pull the plug.
  4. And again it's mind blowing that whoever's in charge of that account is another American so consumed with politics that they got their panties in a wad over a tweet and couldn't dare take the time to see which account they were logged in to before replying.
  5. Seriously? Who's in charge of that account? Why are they replying to political tweets on it? I didn't love the announcement of RV being in charge of NIL, I appreciate that he still cares about UNT and I don't wish any ill will on the guy, but he wasn't some great salesman or fundraiser in his time here. At a time where every move is crucial especially NIL related why do we bring back someone we fired to be a part of it?
  6. To battle for the G5 playoff spot, every year. No excuses we will be in the best conference besides the P5, there is no excuse for that to not be the goal.
  7. I was surprised he popped up so quick after getting slammed like that on the goal line. Just our luck.
  8. Another Saturday and another game where I wonder what the hell happened to KD Davis? Is he thinking about how much better Austin or College Station could have been? Can't believe we rushed three, somehow we blow a coverage and leave the RB wide open, QB doesn't even look his way because 8 guys couldn't cover 4 and his first option is untouched for an easy first down.
  9. You are spot on. Truly an eyesore on Wren's resume I don't quite understand why they haven't at least tried to do things differently.
  10. Remember guys, STD. That's our motto. Whole lotta discipline shown so far with a kick catch interference and a false start at the 1 yard line. Hopefully they're gonna give Earle some run though.
  11. Ridge Texada didn't even start at Mcneese. How is he starting here? Sean Thomas Faulkner started at LB for the Citadel the year before he came here. He was supposed to be a special teams ace. How on earth is he our starting safety?
  12. Pathetic crowd, pathetic coaching staff, a talent discrepancy that's obvious a few minutes in to the game. We've seen this show over and over again, every week that Wren waits he loses favor with me. Maybe ya'll are more patient than me, but this is affecting my support for him.
  13. Like a knife through butter on that drive. What sucks is knowing our TD was more of a fluke and theirs was more due to perfect execution with big chunk plays. 2-4 here we come!!!
  14. It's not like we haven't seen throws like that before from him. He took over the MT game in 2020 and was dropping dimes to Darden. He's just so so so incredibly inconsistent.
  15. Whoops wrong topic.
  16. I don't even care if we win today, I just want us to get a move on with the coaching search. And that's bat shit crazy, but it's where I'm at. Not that their QB isn't about to throw 4+ TD's on us in route to another embarrassing loss.
  17. I respect your opinion but mine is that they are no where near good enough for the AAC. Good enough to push around sub par competition at times, and their pass blocking has been amazing, but I don't believe that unit is good enough for the AAC.
  18. I think we are very far off, we overrate our offensive line, especially Mose. We don't have a number one wide receiver, we have a couple decent running backs but you can find them a dime a dozen. Tight end is the only position group on offense I feel somewhat okay about. Defensive line starters are poor, which leads me to believe the players behind them are even worse. Linebacker recruiting besides KD Davis may be just as bad as safety recruiting has been overall. We haven't had an FBS caliber player starting at safety since 2017. Gaddie is the only corner who has shown a fair amount of skill at times. Upton Stout was good but he gone... We just lost by 30 to UNLV. We are no where near talented enough for the AAC.
  19. UNT fell off a cliff after the 2018 season. We've been bad for 4 years now. 21-38 vs everyone other than Rice, UTEP, & FCS schools. 20 losses to G5 schools by 20+ points. Twenty. Average strength of schedule over 6 seasons is 113th. Awful competition, awful results. 4 defensive players selected all conference in 2018, and only 3 all conference selections on defense from 2019-2021, KD Davis and Dion Novil (2x) He had a 10-12 record over his first three seasons vs. teams who ended the season .500 or above. 2-14 after 2018 vs. teams who ended the season .500 or above. Both wins came last season over a bad UTEP team by 3 and a UTSA team who benched their QB at halftime. Lost 5 bowl games by an average of 21.4 points Allowed his buddy Mike Ekeler to do a couple 1 year pit stops here, at least he landed us EJ Ejiya way back in 2017... -I'm getting too depressed to keep going, but it's obvious Seth should have been fired after the 2020 season. He definitely should have been fired after last season, and now it's glaringly obvious a change should be made as soon as possible.
  20. Read his body language he knows it's over.
  21. It would be 23-3 without that kickoff return TD HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  22. Man, KD Davis has been disappointing so far to say the least. It could be due to 4 new starters up front but he is just not shedding blocks well and not having much of an impact.
  23. https://meangreensports.com/sports/football/roster/febechi-nwaiwu/5549 This kid has stepped up since we lost Carroll at RG. It's a little upsetting some of the other OL we signed in recent years have been jumped by what I believe is a walk on but he's played well when I pay attention to his blocking.
