  1. Can't figure out how to embed the video
  2. All I know is that in 2014 we have Tulsa, SMU & LT at home. Why the negativity?
  3. Abbe, Boutwell(was DE), Lincoln(was DE), Orr (was DE), Sir Calvin. And we're hoping our one DT signee for 2013 qualifies but he double signed incase he doesn't which is never a good thing. If we lose Abbe or Boutwell in the fall we might be toast.
  4. He chose to attend Texas Tech's junior day over ours, and is leaning towards TCU/Tech I don't think we have much of a shot.
  5. 5'10 210 MLB http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/179968/inoke-ngalo http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1371889/highlights/28003374
  6. Agreed, it's hard to judge players based on a spring game. I think Teegarden had an impressive showing for us last year in the spring game and had 3 catches in the regular season. It will be much easier to get some impressions on Berglund though, we'll see how he can move the offense vs. DT.
  7. I'm withholding judgement until the spring game. We should soak up all the info we can from next Wednesday until the spring game, because the off season stretch until fall practice is particularly brutal. I sure hope Berglund has an impressive spring game performance, it would make those months a lot easier.
  8. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/blog/eye-on-college-basketball/21833469/hot-seat-index-sun-belt-conference "North Texas: Tony Benford – Of all the new coaches taking over jobs this season, Benford might have had the most disappointing. With future pro Tony Mitchell leading the way, North Texas had expectations coming into the season – yet the Mean Green struggled with injuries en route to a 12-19 (7-13 in the Sun Belt) campaign. HOT SEAT INDEX: 4" Edit: Meant to post this in the basketball forum if a mod can move it please.
  9. Rated 3* 81 by 247sports http://247sports.com/Player/Jordan-Jackson-26298 Also, 39 of the top 150 players in Texas on 247 (that have been ranked) have already made commitments. Recruiting is moving quicker than ever, Texas State has one 2014 commit and SMU has three.
  10. No, the most offensive defense is mediocre special teams.
  11. I truly hope we can make a bowl game this season, that is the only way I see things changing. As of right now the schools we should be competing with have huge advantages over us that only a winning season can cure.
  12. Perroni247: Plano (TX) QB Richard Lagow is officially not signing with #UCONN. Still looking at all options.t.co/LIJB73NX
  13. This is a win-win. Give the kid a call!!!!!!!!!
  14. I listened to the last minute or so with my speakers directly next to my ear on full blast and vaguely heard him talk about how he is already pretty comfortable with the offense.
  15. The offense should be better. I just don't think they'll be "very good." The running game will be better, beyond that I don't think anything is for certain. It's very likely we will see the same offense facing 9 men in the box on 1st down and running it up the gut with Byrd for 0.5 yards the majority of the time. The strategy McCarney employs requires a dominant defense to keep games close and then they try to wear you down with the run in the 4th. I don't think we have the players to do that yet on the defensive side of the ball and if the gameplan isn't tweaked a little I have a hard time believing we could win more than 5 games, 6 at the most. I'm not saying we need our QB to throw it 30 times a game, what I am saying is if we're going to be a smashmouth team we need smashmouth players & I'm not sure there are enough of them on the defensive side of the ball. Of course, after the spring game when I am football starved I'll be proclaiming us as an 8 win team so what do I know?
  16. It's possible they had Sergio Medina ahead of this kid on their board and when he jumped ship the offer came. I still think we have a good shot at Woods.

  18. http://northtexas.scout.com/a.z?s=353&p=8&c=1&nid=4865737 Jermaine Antoine is now listed as a soft verbal on scout and visting TCU 1/31
  19. Kid dominates at TE on his hudl in the run game. They run the same type of offense we do here and I like that we flipped him from an FBS school, no matter if it's Texas State or USC. With him & Loving committed now, plus Tanzel Smart committing to Tulane I think it is safe to say that Tebo will be no. 20 officially very soon. If that is the case I wonder if a couple of our earlier commitments will be asked to grayshirt at some point before the 2013 season begins to make room for DJ Dean and or Jermaine Antoine. I really hope we get at least one of those guys.
  20. That was a pretty backhanded article. All I am looking forward to is beginning the SMU series. I would think a victory over SMU would give us some kind of help in recruiting locally against them seeing as how they pretty much dominated us in recruiting this year.
  21. Maybe Brad Horton can put in a good word. Their QB Colby Moore will be a top prospect too.
  22. Antoine, Claude George & Loving would be who I think we end up with. I'm also not sure Beasley's offer is current, nor his teammate at WOS Colin Janice. I would personally like to have Antoine, Loving, and any DT left that's a border line player, even a guy who would be a 2 or 3 year project. We need at least one in this class.
  23. From utsatailgaters.com "He's originally from the gulf coast, Corpus Christi ,and only moved to Little Elm for high school. Little Elm sits north of Dallas and although he would like to stay nearby within the state, it's nothing that will make or break his decision. If able to qualify he's looking for the chance to earn playing time as a true freshman and as most kids want, a program that just feels right and a place to call home."
  24. http://espn.go.com/dallas/polls?id=8780883 Take or Trash for the Cowboys roster. Look at Dunbar's votes vs. Phillip Tanner
  25. UTSA turned down the MWC before. I'm sorry but they're higher on the list than we are(if we're on it at all)
