Everyone remember the Troy St. game where he missed a wide open TE with no defender within 25 yards of him? Then remember the K-State game where it seemed like he completed 75% of his passes? I have no idea, I have my doubts though especially with his inconsistency and the lack of improvement from 2011 to 2012.

We wasted a second on Martellus Bennett to try this 12 offense and we've done it again this year, I'm not saying the kid will fail but the whole premise just seems to defy logic. For years and years we have heard them justify their reaching for project players, at some point the scouting staff needs to be replaced when those projects repeatedly fail. Jerry continues to refer to the d line as a strength. Where are the ******* players who are strengths? Wouldn't it make 8000x more sense to draft a replacement for your aging DIU stricken d-line then an additional TE for personnel reasons. Hankins was there at 47 (Went to Giants at 48) Floyd was there at 18. I guess we can hope that somehow Jery Jr. has watched all these mistakes over the last 18 years and is taking note of what NOT to do. I can't fathom the thought of playoff-less football for much longer.

Both Jerry and Jason Garrett seemed super at the press conference following the draft last night. They messed up and they know it. When they asked Jerry why they only got a mid third to jump back 13 spots and what their trade card said he said they won that trade, yet every trade card out there says we got hosed. If you would have told me two days ago we were getting a offensive lineman, I would have jumped through the roof, I just didn't expect it to be a center whos projected to be a 3rd rounder. And I wouldn't expect us to fall 13 spots for a freaking mid 3rd, we didn't even get a late 5th or something, that would have made it more understandable at least. Shariff Floyd better be a huge bust. I thought they were going to do something somewhat smart this year, why? I don't know...

If we lost to UTSA I would probably be out. I know many folks have sat through many more losing seasons than I have but that would be the last straw after 8 years of futility. And the unfortunate part is that scenario is a very real possibility. Also, I'm not convinced our o line is the best in CUSA or will even be in the top half. I understand the o line gets a lot of praise for Thompson not getting sacked often last year, but it's not like we were blowing away opponents in the run game. I routinely see our defensive line getting washed 5 yards downfield, I didn't see our offensive line doing that to anyone last season. I hope that Johnson-YBarbo-Lemon being together for the third year straight will pay off this year along with Lachris who got PT last season but I am not going to call this unit the best in CUSA by any means.

Perhaps Brock is with the 3's because the spring game will be like last years, 1s & 3s vs 2s & 4s and they want Brock and DT getting the reps with the first team offense in the spring game? I think it's too early to read too much in to this.

There's a new video on meangreensports that shows both Polk's sack/forced fumble and Wallace's tackle for loss towards the end. Mac said both Dutton Watson and Wallace got their stripes off their helmets today. I am extremely encouraged with the young DE's and CB's on this team, if Wallace can continue to shows signs of progress, I'll feel even better about the defense moving forward.

We will be at 84/85 scholarships. Perhaps there is a late qualifier, JUCO, or high school player who signed with someone else in February but couldn't get all the grades at DT out there.
