  1. http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2013/06/28/dallas-cowboys-training-camp-profile-lance-dunbar/ Dallascowboys.com scout Bryan Broaddus has talked to Cowboys players who believe Dunbar has the ability to be a nightmare for defenders. “There’s something there. I was talking to Sean Lee, I said, ‘Hey this Dunbar —’ and he goes, ‘My gosh. What a nightmare to have to cover.’ Jason Witten also thinks if Dunbar were to be the third back you could see 50-, 60-catch type of player, just for his elusiveness there.”
  2. Not that all rivals offers are correct, but check his timeline we offered Mayden on a visit last week. I'm not sure about Tillman though. http://247sports.com/Player/James-Mayden-20332 The point is still the same though, we are getting destroyed in recruiting again with no signs of it changing. Hopefully a strong start to the season will turn things around.
  3. http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/article-1/DCCom-Staff-Selects-Minicamp-Standouts-Gives-Predictions/1642569d-9a47-483e-a211-2f627c2736c9 Breakthrough Player: Bryan – I have really liked what I have seen in these camps from Lance Dunbar and potentially his role as the third back in this offense. In the open field he has been outstanding catching the ball and making people miss and that includes Sean Lee who is the best cover linebacker they have. I can see Callahan creating some packages that puts him one-on-one with defenders allowing him to use his quickness. Jason Witten and I were talking about him recently and he couldn’t say enough good things about his potential ability and I agree. http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2013/6/3/4392900/the-role-dawgs "On special teams is where Dunbar will get a chance to most likely make his biggest impact. If you ask me I think we found our kickoff return guy until further notice. In 12 attempts he averaged an impressive 21.7 yards a pop."
  4. 6'3 220. Offered by UNT & UTSA. Listed as a WR on scout, but his highlight tape is mostly him playing DE and a little TE. http://northtexas.scout.com/a.z?s=353&p=8&c=1&nid=7022541 http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1802225/myles-mouton
  5. 5-7 There is still not enough talent along the defensive line to be a contender for a conference championship.
  6. Up to five offers per his twitter, latest from NMSU David Smoak ‏@DavidSmoak 1h Beard was at SMU over the weekend, thought he had until end of week to commit, he did on Wednesday, but was told the offer no longer stood David Smoak ‏@DavidSmoak 1h After Midway HC Terry Gambill spoke with HC June Jones and an assistant, the offer was back on the table, but, Beard, whose father Joe >>> David Smoak ‏@DavidSmoak 1h Played at SMU from 1979-1983, decided the relationship was damaged and de-committed. Not sure how this ends sometime down the road.
  7. Offered by UNT & UTSA, couldn't find much on him other than he was first team 22-3A last season. http://rivals.yahoo.com/northtexas/football/recruiting/player-Kevin-Strong-152857;_ylt=Api_k9nvQJL2ihqvmJZZ01zNSMJ_
  8. Here's a nugget from Chad Ford of ESPN, encouraging news. "May 28 Update: After a disappointing sophomore season, Mitchell made some serious progress at the combine, showing off better than expected measurements alongside some terrific athleticism. More importantly, he had candid interviews with teams that suddenly made GMs much more comfortable in taking him. Was he just in the wrong situation at North Texas? If teams believe that, he's going to go a lot higher based on his talent." 9. Marcus Trice is turning out to be a home run of a transfer. @BeGreat8 "I will do whatever I have to to make sure #UNT is good this year and every year after! #RecruiterOfTheYear2014"
  10. His twitter page says otherwise.
  11. Two defensive lineman to kick things off is a nice change of pace. GMG

  15. http://www.bloggingt...ing-browns-next "Dunbar is pretty impressive when you look back (on his season)," Jerry Jones said. "When he got his chances, he did real well. He was in some pretty critical situations. He's got a real receiver knack. He can find the soft spot. He gives us an alternative. He's going to have to make the contribution on special teams. It's hard not to have that third back be a special teams contributor." There's been another quote or two on Dunbar I just don't remember where I read them.
  16. Awesome.
  17. I don't think he made it he isn't listed on their 90 man roster and the only UDFA they have signed was a blocking TE from NIU.
  18. Replay is up on epsn3 One of the analysts said he wasn't in the right situation to develop here. Another said a lot of scouts have said not to discount him for this past season where the coaching hire was a disaster and "turned out really bad for him." Said he has a lot of upside and could jump up the draft boards depending on performance and interviews in the next seven weeks. -Question was asked if any of the PF's were 1st round picks and they were unanimous in saying Mitchell would be a mid to late 1st and possibly a lottery pick.
  19. NBA Guru ‏@NBAGuru 5h Tony Mitchell just threw down a monster windmill. Don't see that often here. #NBACombine Twitter says Denver, Orlando, Houston & Golden State had an interview with him today(although I'm sure there were many more)
  20. The Diamond in the rough, Jared Ruffin
  21. I really wanted to sit down and watch this but my workplace who hadn't called me all day needed my services right at 12, just my luck. Regardless where ever he lands I'll be watching even if I have to via thefirstrow although him in a Laker or Spurs uniform would be hard to stomach. Side note, I can't wait until T-Mitch gets to throw down his first dunk on a break away and turn some heads. Maybe he could be in the slam dunk contest at some point in his career.
  22. 6' 230, offers from UNT, FAU, App State http://rivals.yahoo.com/northtexas/football/recruiting/player-Devante-Averette-148483;_ylt=AgMmSTeNTEDEoVNxAOXfKI_NSMJ_
