  1. I was hoping to hear something about Roderick Lancaster or Nick Schrapps. Walk ons are great but going in to Chico's 4th year you would think we would have some players he recruited (excluding Harris) coming in to the fold at wide reciever.
  2. Interest, no offer. Jeremy Miller 6' 290 DT Tyler JC. Teammate of Will Coleman (DE) and Drew Sarvary (OL) who we have offered. http://jcfootball.scout.com/a.z?s=87&p=8&c=1&nid=7107444 We have signed two JUCO TE's in three years, but not a single JUCO DT. I believe we offered a few last year but most were pipe dreams with several BCS offers with the only exception being Deangelo Brooks of Kilgore who committed to LT very early. It is strange to say the least that we haven't taken a flyer on one JUCO DT.
  3. Maybe we have our QB of the future. I am just blown away that they've already decided he won't be redshirted this year, that says a lot.
  4. I had to search for the original thread explaining embedding tweets, maybe that should be pinned on the football forums. Game day!!!#halloffame — lance dunbar (@Dunbar_CDB5) August 4, 2013
  5. Visited on 7/25, also offered by Memphis. Very impressed by the visit to North Texas today! — Drew Sarvary (@sarvary75) July 26, 2013 http://rivals.yahoo.com/northtexas/football/recruiting/player-Drew-Sarvary-150629;_ylt=Am31wVGRhSANOH7x346xLMzNSMJ_ http://247sports.com/Player/Drew-Sarvary-9134?Institution=23660
  6. Good write up, good website.
  7. Offered by Western Michigan according to 247. Also a 3* http://247sports.com/Player/Tre-Betts-32933?Institution=18730
  8. The first time I went on their message board was last week and one of the first posts was "I can't wait to beat that peice of **** school." I had no ill will towards KFCU until then. It just blows my mind they consider the posters here arrogant or elitists. You would be hard pressed to find a more apathetic message board for an FBS school. Sorry that we expect to beat a team that is in it's infancy as an FBS program, what lofty freakin expectations.
  9. We have the beginning of a solid class. Let's keep the momentum going!
  10. :lolu: :lolu: I needed a good laugh this morning. Which JUCO school is this again?
  11. Moore: Lance Dunbar's impressive camp forcing Cowboys to rethink their RB pecking order http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/dallas-cowboys/headlines/20130729-moore-lance-dunbar-s-impressive-camp-forcing-cowboys-to-rethink-their-rb-pecking-order.ece Stronger Dunbar Feels Like A Different Person This Camp (Front page of Dallascowboys.com) http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/article-RowanKavner/Stronger-Dunbar-Feels-Like-A-Different-Person-This-Camp/b475bc50-586b-4dcc-9565-1e3eab9be9cc
  12. You can watch the Cowboys first scrimmage in full pads here live: http://www.dallascowboys.com/multimedia/videos/LIVE-Blue-and-White-Scrimmage/1df91729-032c-421c-b36b-8a15ea29a2f4 Dunbar has been running with second team ahead of Tanner and Randle and made a couple nice plays already.
  13. Good article on Lance via thelandryhat.com http://thelandryhat.com/2013/07/26/is-lance-dunbar-more-than-a-camp-superstar/

  16. I think Dunbar is going to get a significant bump in playing time this year. Let's not forget he led the team in total kickoff returns and was efficient in that role last year. I still think Randle will end up being the number two back given his size, but I'm confident Lance will play a lot more this year. "Player of the Day: Lance Dunbar. Not only did Dunbar (rather surprisingly) take second-team snaps, he backed up the coaches' decision by often looking like the quickest guy on the field. More importantly, he showed a gift for finding a hole and shooting through it before it closed. Going into the season, many observers thought that Joseph Randle would be Murray's backup, with Dunbar serving as the third down back. Today's practice suggested a new possibility: Dunbar as the backup and the bigger Randle as the third-down back." http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2013/7/21/4544196/cowboys-training-camp-report-practice-number-one-welcome-to-camp-tempo Courtesy of ESPN: "Running backs coach Gary Brown said rookie running back Joseph Randle will be brought along slowly because he missed the entire offseason recovering from thumb surgery. The running back rotation is as follows: DeMarco Murray, Lance Dunbar, Phillip Tanner and Randle. Randle runs hard and finds his running lanes quickly, but you can tell he's a little rusty. He dropped a screen pass from quarterback Alex Tanney because he was in such a hurry to make a play." http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4710353/cowboys-practice-report-day-1-2
  17. Played WR @ Colleyville Heritage as a junior http://northtexas.scout.com/2/1307395.html http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/171240/kaelin-deboskie Deboskie’s top three includes Arizona, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia. He plans on visiting one of those during his road trip. “We are going to stop at Oklahoma State for sure,” he said. “We are going to give North Texas a look as well, since it is so close. Houston might be another option. They are close to offering me, so it would be beneficial if I could see the campus."
  18. http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/ "4. If you want to say Dez Bryant had the most impressive offseason for the Cowboys, that would be accurate. But backup running back Lance Dunbar was impressive as well during offseason workouts. Dunbar is a speedy back who could be used in third-down situations. Dunbar needs improvement on pass blocking, size could be an issue, yet, he's someone worth watching in training camp. We're not saying he should become a starter if DeMarco Murray gets hurt again, but Dunbar should see more playing time than he did last season." Four more days until training camp!!!!!!
  19. I completely agree and they will be again this year, I wasn't trying to say they're not good players. I'm just trying to figure out which seniors are on scholarship, that is all.
  20. Right but how many are scholarship players? I'm not sure about Darnell Smith, Lynrick Pleasant, Bryan Monroe, Drew Miller, Hilbert Jackson, Carl Caldwell & Brady Brown.
  21. I'm glad all the freshman made it considering there are only 14 of them. Does anyone know how many ships we have available for 2014? If we're truly at 85 scholarship players this should be a class of no more than 18 players if that. 7 Derek Thompson QB 6-4 226 GS Glen Rose, TX Glen Rose HS 90 Ryan Boutwell DT 6-3 269 GS China Spring, TX China Spring HS 11 Will Wright LB 6-2 221 SR Garland, TX South Garland HS 8 Marcus Trice DB 5-8 197 SR Mesquite, TX Oklahoma 80 Darnell Smith WR 6-1 208 SR Garland, TX Ellsworth CC 89 Daniel Prior TE 6-2 240 SR Henderson, TX Henderson HS 17 Lynrick Pleasant WR 6-2 200 SR Mesquite, TX Mesquite HS 35 Zachary Orr LB 6-1 223 SR DeSoto, TX DeSoto HS 37 Zach Olen PK 5-10 228 SR Richardson, TX Berkner HS 25 Bryan Monroe RB 5-8 192 SR Prosper, TX Prosper HS 86 Drew Miller TE 6-1 260 SR Prosper, TX Prosper HS 93 Brandon McCoy DE 6-2 257 SR Carrollton, TX Creekview HS 2 D.Q. 22. I'm interested to see who what the official height and weights will be for returning players when fall practice starts. The value of having a real strength and conditioning coach cannot be overstated.
  23. 2 PM 2nd half is about to start on NBATV(216 on Directv) Detroit is down 45-30, Tony has 6 reb and 4 points, missed two free throws.
  24. Playing defense against Kelly Olenyk from Gonzaga he will be tested today.
