How could you possibly know what Arkansas is going to do in the next 2-3 years? Also, maybe lay off statements like "go ahead and run to that name brand" on a recruits thread. -

It may not mean much but yesterday he was predicted to commit to UNT by a recruiting analyst on 247. http://247sports.com/User/Jeremiah%20Sharpe/Predictions?PlayerInstitution.PrimaryPlayerSport.Recruitment.Year=2015&PlayerInstitution.PrimaryPlayerSport.Sport=Football -

"Claiborne, 19, was arrested twice this offseason. The first came in December on charges of possession of fewer than two ounces and possession of a dangerous drug, which led to his suspension from the Chick-Fil-A Bowl." Unreal.

Strengths Has big hands. Very good balance and body control. Runs strong with good body lean. Compact and controlled. Can contort his body in the air and make difficult catches. Has a 41-inch vertical jump. Outstanding agility, burst and short-area quickness. Slippery in the open field -- has a knack for avoiding direct contact and spinning off tacklers. Knows how to set up blocks. Tough and highly competitive. Good vision, awareness and traffic burst in the return game. Very good overall production. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/brelan-chancellor?id=2549958

This may just be a sign of the times (there are already 60+ kids from Texas committed to different schools) but does anyone remember us putting out this many offers this early? -
6'2 190 also offered by Idaho http://northtexas.scout.com/a.z?s=353&p=8&c=1&nid=7691483 http://auburn.scout.com/a.z?s=6&p=2&c=1394793&ssf=1&RequestedURL=http%3a%2f%2fauburn.scout.com%2f2%2f1394793.html

UNT recruiting target series — Plano OL Beau Hott

Excellent work by Brett Vito as always. Seeing as how our Scout, Rivals & 247 pages are vacant I will take any info on potential recruits I can get, especially for free.- 2 replies

Basketball recruiting tidbit (UNT sees Paris JC forward)
ntmeangreen11 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Basketball
But look at the powerhouse SWAC/Southland schools who have shown an interest in him, these are the schools we should hope to be peers with one day. -
You guys just haven't given him enough time to get his guys here. He will have 7 open scholarships next season. That means 4 more bad ass late signee JUCOs and 3 high school players who may or may not be on campus after 2 weeks. The future is bright how do you guys not see this?

I can remember two recent recruits from Celina. Nathan Tune was a good guy but was clearly not meant to play at this level and Franklin the lineman flamed out. He is the lowest rated player out of 152 in Texas who have been evaluated by 247sports. Doesn't seem like we're missing out on much.

Don't forget about Chad Reese, the safety who transferred from Wyoming. He has several starts under his belt and had 3 interceptions as a sophomore in 2012. -

Just like the UTSA football game last year, it's on some obscure sports channel the majority of people don't get so, no it's not on premium. I would like to know why the athletic department does this. It blows my mind we had more access to games via ESPN3 in the sun belt than we do in CUSA. I know ESPN3 isn't convenient for anyone who doesn't own an xbox or playstation but at least I got to watch a few games here and there.

Why isn't this on streaming on MGS today? Surely they realize that maybe 5% on TV subscribers have TWCS.

I'm not defending Benford by any means but just for reference UL-Lafayette has a top 20 (first round talent) SG on their team this year, and a top 50 (will be 1st rounder next year or 2016) post player and they're only 15-10 with losses to ULM, Jackson State, & Troy. It's not the best example but does put to rest the theory that one elite player should have made us a contender last season. Nothing is going to change the debacle that was last year but we have shown improvement this season and at this point I can at least somewhat stomach the 3rd year we all knew would come to fruition regardless of record. We can sit here, bitch and moan all we want but who's raising the money for the buyout?

No real dissatisfaction with June Jones' performance at SMU yet
ntmeangreen11 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Regardless of the performance on the football field I know June Jones is a great man because of his work with inner city ministries. His integrity cannot be questioned he turned down an AQ job for inner city kids, what an incredible person. -
I'm well aware of that and I have no doubt we've offered zero players before we got a chance to see them in person. The player above has great size and vision, and plays at a high school where a 2014 commit played. Hopefully the coaches will get a chance to evaluate him at a camp this off season.
