  1. Our hopes for solid QB play rest on the shoulders of a JUCO QB at his 4th school. I don't have high hopes but maybe it will work out. If he is an above average CUSA QB I think we can hover around 6 or 7 wins the next two years, if he proves to be elite at the CUSA level we could see a couple seasons like 2013. Hopefully we will grab a high school QB in the next two classes who will turn our luck around I just don't see it between Greer, Chumley and Means. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every once in a while, right?
  2. What have you guys seen that made you think he was the answer at QB anyways? I watched the UAB game and saw everything I needed to understand he was not the answer. Everyone loves to bash McNulty but I firmly believe he would give us a better chance to win than DW this year, which in truth isn't saying much. This seems so much like the Brent Osborn situation from a couple years ago. Or the Brock Berglund situation, not once when he was on the field did I think this guy had the potential to be a good D1 QB. He had two good games against Idaho (in the 4th Q with a huge lead) and against a terrible FCS team. The other games he looked like a deer in headlights. Coach Mac puts the best players on the field at every position, he was right about Osborn, McNulty, DW, and if D. Smith winds up being worse than Mini Mac then he will be the next backup QB in line everyone on this forum is convinced is the next John Elway being sabotaged by Coach Mac. I'm no fan of DW, but losing a RS SO is another blow to an already weak QB group. I have no idea what to expect from Smith, he could light CUSA up this season or he could be the next transfer to flame out. Here's what QB could look like in 2016. D. Smith - RS SR J. Greer - SR C.Means - RS SO C. Chumley - RS FR At some point whoever is responsible for recruiting quarterbacks needs to be held accountable.
  3. If anyone has roof damage from the recent storms feel free to PM me I work for a local roofing company and we would be glad to assist you in any way.
  4. Apparently Lance has not signed his tender offer yet. I guess he is doing the smart thing and waiting out free agency to see if a better offer comes along. "With the troubled young Joseph Randall and also sparingly used Lance Dunbar, who still hasn’t signed his 1 year tender, the Cowboys could be looking to pick up the next future full time carrier if Gordon or Gurley find themselves still sitting when the Cowboys are on the clock." http://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/with_the_27th_pick_the_dallas_cowboys_select/18604844
  5. Averaged 19.9 PPG, 6.1 APG, 5.2 RPG https://youtu.be/qDJ-doxg9Uo
  6. One day we will land our own Case Keenum, Kolton Browning, Keith Wenning etc. It's remarkable we have gone so long without finding one quarterback who was that type of player.
  7. And I bet the majority on this forum still think RV is doing a good job. It is time for change.
  8. Pathetic. If this doesn't signal the need for change then what will?
  9. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/08/cowboys-dont-give-sterling-moore-a-restricted-free-agent-tender/ "The Cowboys did tender running back Lance Dunbar and punter Chris Jones. They will both make $1.542 million unless another team signs them to a deal Dallas isn’t willing to match."
  10. Game will be streamed for free on the ASN website as usual during ASN broadcasts. http://www.americansportsnet.com/game/middle-tennessee-at-north-texas-on-02142015
  11. Winds up signing with Snow junior college in Utah. http://www.heraldextra.com/sanpete-county/sports/snow-college-football-announces-recruits/article_fe415e97-d713-50c2-8b61-0c8cb342209d.html
  12. Okay so if the stream won't be up for a while why not tweet what the supposed big announcement is supposed to be?
  13. Joseph Randle arrested on drug charges #BREAKING Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle has been arrested on drug charges. More details to come. — WFAA TV (@wfaachannel8) February 4, 2015
  14. Yes I couldn't remember his name for the life of me. "Highly rated" is a stretch especially since it was ESPN but I couldn't remember much about him other than he was the first guy rated 3* by any service committed to us.
  15. The Cowboys signed practice squad member Ryan Williams to a 2 year, 1.74M contract. They guaranteed a lot of that money which is highly unusual for a practice squad signing. I was under the impression the cowboys tender offer to Dunbar would be about 600-700k but according to the Star telegram the number is 1.575M for one year. I think it's very likely we will see him in another uniform next season, which is unfortunate for us Cowboys fans but probably better for Lance in the long run.
  16. Doesn't everyone remember that we had a home and home scheduled with Tulsa for 2013/2014 and then we joined the same conference? I mean you can't have a snafu like that and not expect to have piss poor schedules through 2018 at least...right? 12 straight games, 12.
  17. Is it possible his injury was a concussion or a neck related injury leading us to pull the offer? The same thing happened with a highly rated OL commit we had last year whose name escapes me.
  18. Regardless of which position he ends up playing he has all the tools to be an impact player at the CUSA level. This is one of the commits I'm most excited about because he has a high ceiling. From his ESPN scouting report: "A tremendous athlete who projects to be a productive player at the next level at multiple positions."

  20. Why would you ignore the offer sheet and jump to this conclusion over an unverified height and 40 time on a recruiting site? Impressive get for SMU who will most likely return to whooping our ass again (in recruiting) during the spring evaluation period for the class of 2016.
  21. This bit has gone on for far too long... This is worse than Cougar King or TodgeRodge/GLTG could ever do. At least those guys said some things that made sense from time to time.
  22. Because 13/22 are gone and outside of Carlos Harris the few who remain have made little impact if any.
