  1. 2017 New Orleans Bowl - Troy 50 points 2018 New Mexico Bowl - Utah State 52 points 2019 Game two - SMU 42 points through 3 quarters. It's time we start to question the colossal failure that is our defensive recruiting during Littrell's tenure. This defense has 36 interceptions over the last three seasons as well, further masking our deficiencies. The only way we make a bowl game is if we produce a similar amount of turnovers.
  2. When is the last time someone other than yourself helped you achieve orgasm?
  3. The truth is they are a more talented team than we are. Our offensive line is having a tough time with 3 man rushes and even with 5 in the box running the ball is difficult. On top of that our receivers have not been able to get open very much, that's disappointing. Their offensive line is wearing our front seven out, I have a feeling that will be the case all season. Edit: Just saw us try to run a passing play with only 2 guys on the outside running routes while the tight ends stayed to block.. this is something I noticed last week. I don't understand bringing Darden/Lawrence off the field for a walk on fullback.
  4. The lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball in Littrell's 4th year is noticeable. We are looking at a ceiling of 7-8 wins and we only get there by beating bad CUSA defenses with our offense. Maybe this year we at least get a winnable bowl opponent like UNLV was years ago since we will likely be in a lower tier bowl if we make it.
  5. We are getting stomped. How does everyone who said we would have very little drop off on defense after losing so many starters feel right now?
  6. Three man rush on second down and Fine gets hammered. Nic Smith loses his footing and falls just short of the first down marker. Rough start
  7. Linebacker bites too hard on the fake, huge gain by their QB, the Harvey gets beat badly. Defense needs to calm down, but as I said after last week defense is in for a tough year in my opinion. Hope we get some turnovers.
  8. Defense: King and Ozwougu were both running up the field leading to big gains for ACU running the ball. The linebackers took bad angles on the long rushing plays and Muhammed took the wrong first step on the ACU rushing TD near the redzone. #38 Wood saw action on first series of second half. A very mixed bag from the LB spot Saturday. I noticed we seem to be going Frow-English-Hamilton on passing downs. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing a guy we picked up in June is our best rush end opposite Hamilton. I think Colvin and Novil were playing first and second down in the first half. Safi and Leblanc played snaps as well. Cam Johnson had a nice game. Overall I am very worried about the prospect of a leaky run defense and a front seven that could get pushed around by a bigger O line, I am also worried there won't be another DL with more than 4 sacks besides Hamilton. Just like years previous, we are going to need to produce turnovers to keep our scoring defense down below 27 points or so IMO. Offense: I thought the RT Brammer played pretty well, I noticed #71 Parrish was in for Plantin at LT on the series before the half ended. I hope he is ready incase Plantin suffers and injury. I am glad we are using more tight ends but there was a few plays where we had both Pirtle and Howell (#34 FB/TE) running deep. I just think I would rather have Darden or Lawrence in on those plays all things considered. I liked the creativity and some of the deceptive looks the offense showed it should be business as usual on that side of the ball as long as Fine stays healthy.
  9. http://lines.sharpfootballanalysis.com/lines.php?sport=ncaafb&period=0 O/U has jumped to 73+ and the line is down to 3.5 SMU, clearly a lot of money went on the over and UNT covering. This is a really good site for lines and if you click on each betting site individually you can see how the line has moved. This website is from Warren Sharp who also runs sharpfootballstats.com with analytical stats and visuals for NFL teams. He has continuously praised Mike Leach as an innovator yet you don't have to go back 6 months to find a thread on GMG bashing Leach and proclaiming a good D/run game as the way to win in 2019 despite overwhelming evidence of the opposite😂 As far as the games goes, I think we have a good shot to win I am surprised the line is not lower but I get it. We could very well give up 40+ points Saturday. I don't predict the fairytale season some have, I think 9 wins (in season) is about our ceiling. I sure hope I am wrong.
  10. That's UCLA. Aren't we playing Cal? Also LOL at the UAB fans claiming it was no big deal to replace 30+ seniors (including many who never would have played FBS ball as they were allowed to take non qualifiers) good luck with that.
  11. He doesn't turn 23 until next June the guy has a long time to find a home in the NFL, hopefully he shows enough in the upcoming game to get signed on a practice squad, I don't think it will be the cowboys.
  12. Man, one thing Littrell has had a tough time doing is signing high school DL players. FBS defensive linemen. 2016: Hamilton (stud) Ozougwu (was a blueshirt from the previous coach who won't be named) ... we also signed two JUCO players, one who did not qualify (Houston) and one who was a pretty good player (Wheeler) 2017: Novil (good player) Krasniqi (gone) 2018: Leblanc (redshirt) Shaw (gone) ... We also signed three JUCO players. Only Colvin made a slight impact last year, they were big bodied depth signings and we're supposed to believe the myth that JUCO players make a huge jump in their second year. These guys are all already 21/22+ years old there will be no huge jump. 2019: Jimmy Walker, Demeco Roland, Kenneth Dotson (might not ever make it to campus) and two JUCO players one who hasn't qualified in Sow and another who was still on the market in June, had FCS offers, and was likely insurance for Sow not making it to campus. High school signees: 9 total in 4 years. One was moved to LB (Ozouwu) two are gone, one might not make it here two of them are good players (Novil & Hamilton) and three unknowns who aren't ready yet (Leblanc, Walker, Roland) ... IF and that's a huge if as it's extremely unlikely all three of these young guys end up being FBS players that's still a 50% hit rate. That's not very good. JUCO players: 7 total in 4 years. One who DNQ, one who likely won't qualify (Sow) two who were depth signings (Sa'afi, Mcmillan) one who at least got on the field in his first season (Colvin) one who was a stud (Wheeler) and one unknown with a poor offer sheet who was still available in June. That also is an awful hit rate. I love Littrell but man DL recruiting has been abysmal and anyone who thinks this defense will not be giving up 30+ PPG is in for a shock. Between replacing corners, a DL that has average CUSA unit as it's ceiling and the fact that we're likely starting two walk ons or two very young players at LB we're in for a long year on that side of the ball. Hope we can win the track meets, we better keep Mason Fine upright.
  13. I will never forgive my southern brethren for buying in to the billionaire yankee's bullshit. You boys ate it all up, hook line and sinker.
  14. There is nothing you could ever do to hurt my feelings bud, you're only showing your age with a GIF that doesn't even make sense. Guys... 20 million people watched the league of legends championship in 2014, and that was five years ago. That's more than both the world series and the nba championship. There is a reason Amazon bought twitch. There is a reason smart universities are investing in esports. If even one graduate from this program goes on to join a pro team and starts taking home big paychecks I think there's a good chance he would be inclined to give back to the university. However, since you guys have your views 100% shaped by the television instead of your own personal experiences this just makes your head spin. It's 2019. It's not 1974. This isn't intergender bathrooms we are talking about here, this is our university making a smart move to get with the times. You guys should try it.
  15. One sentiment I have never understood on this forum is that when a commit or player we are after gets a P5 offer or commits to a P5 school it's that said player will ride the bench for 4 years when he is a sure fire starter here. We have 15 solid FBS level players committed before July, we used to fill out the bulk of our classes with borderline players in January after about 105 schools had mostly finished recruiting that cycle. Kade is a high level player who will be tough to hold on to. It wouldn't surprise me if we had multiple decommits this year, both because we're recruiting a higher level of player and other coaches are well aware of our staffs ability to evaluate talent. Hopefully he ends up here, but if he goes to a P5 school I bet he will play and not get buried in the depth chart which a lot of people think is a given for some reason.
  16. Not that it matters but his Auburn visit was actually in 2018 when he ultimately chose to play for the gamecocks. Doesn't make his commitment here any less impressive.
  17. Holy shit this is huge! I wonder if he stays at corner or plays one of the safety spots. GMG! The rich get richer
  18. I don't even know what to say. I can't argue with get off my lawn guy. Did you really just bring up carpel tunnel, a sedentary lifestyle, use the word "chores" for college students, mention the desensitizing of violence and then claim since it's not sports to you it doesn't deserve scholarship money? That is a freaking home run of a post...
  19. Yep, it's the guy can realistically project where this class will end up, what can I do for ya?
  20. I don't see the downside.. I did see two posts that were along the lines of "Ha! video games? Nerds!" which is exactly what I would expect the responses to be. It's a great marketing ploy if that's what you want to call it we can agree to disagree we will see who's right in a few years.
  21. The E sports is projected to top $1 billion this year guys. This is a shrewd move by the university. But I know the bulk of this forum is made up of the boomers who don't like facts so carry on...
  22. There's only 7 schools in the top 60 with a lower rating average per player than us. While our efforts this year have been impressive we will likely only slide from here and have trouble staying in the top 60 depending on how many we sign. It's good we have this many commits but I would still say it's too early to celebrate. Especially since Litrell potentially leaving could lead to a mass exodus of commits anyways you never know.
  23. Bussey has more buzz going in to this season than Ejiya did for what it's worth. That recurring hamstring injury flaring up again this season could derail things quickly though.
  24. Man look at that offer sheet, then look at the offer sheet of the wide recievers who will be here this fall from the 2019 class. Simpson had 7 FBS offers, Jackson had 10, Lyles had 11 and Ward had 4. Needless to say I am not worried about WR going forward.
