  1. Seriously WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT 3RD AND 12 CALL????? How can Seth be so aggressive on 4th downs yet already have give up on his mind on 3rd just to run it up the gut for no gain????
  2. #16 true freshman Johnathan Pickett getting his first snaps of the season to my knowledge. Another shockingly embarrassing performance from the defense but again, these snaps are invaluable for the future.
  3. I know he's gassed but the LT center is eating Novil's lunch out there.
  4. La Tech going very run heavy, so what do we do? Colvin on the weak side, Novil in the middle, and place Murphy (235 lbs) standing up over the tackle, some of the alignment miscues we've seen are inexcusable. So is that completion on 4th and 8 that was too easy. I'm not going to say the line everyone with half an IQ says "Why are the corners playing so far off the ball???" not realizing coaches do that because they don't trust their corner not to get beat over the top. But he had safety help there, just a poor play and bad technique all around. Glad to see true freshman Upton Stout in the game though.
  5. Man, Bean had Pirtle open for quite some time and waited and waited until he left him out to dry on that hit for a 4 yard gain, yikes. Love when players stand over someone after making an easy tackle.
  6. That was a true freshmen (#6 Loronzo Thompson with solid offer sheet) who got shook out of his shoes trying to grasp at the shoulders of the LT ball carrier. If we are going to get our ass beat at least the young guys who are in no danger of losing their redshirt are on the field.
  7. We served the papers and then they mailed a notice back alluding to the house being in a state of disrepair and "job loss due to covid" to protect themselves when it turns out I have learned he lost his job doing gutters because he... stole sheets of plywood from a job site on camera months ago. I doubt we will see a penny of the money owed, just wanted them out. She has had pretty good luck on her three rentals in terms of tenants for the most part. As much as I just want to go whoop his ass for speaking to my mother that way, I will let the constable handle it and be getting the house ready for a new tenant in January. Thanks for help and kind words everyone.
  8. This one was hard to answer. 3/4th of the scholarship players have been here 3 years or less. We're asking an awful lot of 19/20 year old kids. There are a huge number of guys who have flashed already that will be here for three more seasons. The shift to high school heavy classes that were massively redshirted should start paying off next year. What concerns me is whether or not we have the right coaches to develop them and not let a losing culture set in. The days of giving up 50 points to CUSA opponents has to stop. It's been a constant of the Littrell era. LB recruiting has been much better, but DL recruiting has been awful and there's not a school worse at evaluating safeties. I was very excited about Garnett Burke and sad to see him go. Neither Dotson nor Walker (lone high school DL signees of 2019 class) have shown anything yet. We can't keep missing this badly at those positions, so I would lean more towards concerned than a feeling of heading in the right direction all things considered.
  9. I'm not going to go through their signing classes and how many scholarship players they have between each class but just glancing at their roster I see a lot more 4th and 5th year guys on scholarship than we have. The fact remains Littrell changed his focus to high school signee heavy classes three years ago and that's where the bulk of the talent is. Whether or not we have the right staff in place to develop them to their ceilings is another question.
  10. Not a single coach more overrated or benefiting from revisionist history than Skladany. In 2013 we had a ridiculous amount of talent on the defensive side of the ball only giving up 17.8 points per game ranking 8th in the country. In 2014 when those players graduated we gave up 29.8 points per game in the same scheme under Skladany. Decent coach, not a savior of defenses.
  11. I was not a fan of the hire but I don't think a 4th defensive lineman would magically make us better. We almost always have an edge player on the LOS anyways he's just not in a 3 point stance. I know no one wants to hear this, but almost 2/3rds of the roster is made up of redshirt sophomores or younger. Only 23 scholarships between the junior and senior classes. We should be competing for conference championships next year and beyond, no excuses.
  12. 2017: FAU 69, UNT 31, CCG: FAU 41 UNT 17, Bowl: Troy 50 UNT 30 2018: Bowl: Utah State 52 UNT 13 2019: Two 20+ point losses to Houston and SMU. 2020: SMU 65-35, UTSA curb stomping us before half, likely to be a blowout barring a miracle. We don't just lose every big game, we get our asses handed to us.
  13. Is there anyone on this forum who could message me and help me understand the current rules regarding eviction? I'm not trying to put anyone out on the street but my mother has a tenant who owes for five months now and was VERY rude about wanting plumbing repairs done at thehouse. Once they learned they couldn't be evicted because of covid they stopped paying. My mother is the nicest lady around and doesn't deserve this. From what I understand the Cares act runs through Jan 4th but we would like them out now is there anything I can do?
  14. Man, McCrae blew that badly. If Harris keeps there there's three players to stop him outside, he's been a disappointment this season.
  15. Jesus christ he was untouched. How is the front seven getting destroyed this bad, these are video game numbers.
  16. He missed it with 100 whistles going off at the same time then he would have been 5 yards closer.
  17. You should go for it on their 22 on 4th and 2 but I also think when you've come away with 0 points on first two possessions you have to take the 3 there.
  18. Starting walk on John Davis and backup Whitlock at corner again and both look outmatched early. Bean had a running lane on the interception as well, would like to see him scramble more.
  19. Really didn't like that second play call, same motion as the first play making it obvious it won't go to Darden again and a run on second and long which is statistically the worst choice you can make.
  20. "This is one nose tackle prospect who I’d be surprised if he escapes Day 2." I know we are all naturally pessimistic (6 out of my first 7 seasons as a fan I didn't see more than 3 wins in a season) but I feel a whole lot better about the streak finally ending this season.
  21. Sophomores McCrae and Nixon, RS freshmen Murphy twins really progressing as the season goes on, Bean (SO) with another great game and an OL of entirely underclassmen dominating the LOS. We are gelling at the right time and it's the young guys making the difference.
  22. Aside from the penalty the defense has carried over the effort and enthusiasm from the MTSU game and showing signs of life. Starting to see the young guys flash more often, love the fight I am seeing from the team it would have been easy to fold if they didn't stop them on 4th down. GMG Let's win this thing
  23. We look like a team that hasn't played in 35 days. The offense has let the defense down a couple times now, a rice touchdown here could be the ballgame early.
  24. Backbreaking undisciplined penalties, a staple of the Littrell era, by a senior nonetheless. Unreal
  25. Man, three easily telegraphed runs at midfield, zero targets for Darden on the first drive no bueno
