  1. https://meangreensports.com/sports/football/roster/febechi-nwaiwu/5549 This kid has stepped up since we lost Carroll at RG. It's a little upsetting some of the other OL we signed in recent years have been jumped by what I believe is a walk on but he's played well when I pay attention to his blocking.
  2. Agreed, apparently North Texas won last week against North Texas. Clearly they didn't look over correct pronunciations of our players names either.
  3. How has no one questioned the sanity of a coach who would willingly make his motto the acronym STD???? Selfless Tough Disciplined. He's never wavered from murmuring that motto, almost like it's an inside joke or something.
  4. There is no worse play in football than the run on second and long. I have seen Littrell's team commit this cardinal sin over and over and over and over and over again. That and incredibly inconsistent 4th down calls, going for it on our on side of the field some times, going for field goals on 4th and 1 inside the redzone at other times. Very frustrating. Safety LMAO, the laughs start early today.
  5. Doug Belk https://uhcougars.com/staff-directory/doug-belk/450 https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/34298172/why-houston-defensive-coordinator-doug-belk-college-football-next-hot-head-coaching-candidate
  6. We are really missing the Murphy twins. There were times where they took games over last year. Richards, Leota, Trieb can't fill their shoes. Really wish we could have held on to Kobe Savage who now starts for Kansas State. I know first hand Kobe would have stayed committed had we offered a teammate of his at Tyler JC who eventually signed at another FBS school. We signed 9 transfers, Only Maclin and Richards are getting regular playing time. Not sure about Neville and Gunnell plays a little I guess. You can't tell me we couldn't have offered the other kid to secure his commitment and get a good safety for the first time in Seths time here??? Dumb
  7. That's not what I predict, no, Texas Southern should be a win and in all likelihood UNLV should be as well. But UNLV has a stud WR and a decent enough QB, I could see us losing that game. I could also see our 7th year suckhole of a coach losing to a 1st year coach in Sonny Cumbie. Fully expecting losses against FAU, UAB & UTSA those games won't be close.
  8. Gary Patterson was fired on October 31st last year, the trend has been to let your coach go earlier and earlier. I can see us being 2-6 after losing at UTSA and the firing happening then.
  9. What the hell are we going to do when we can't beat up on Rice, UTEP, Southern Miss & MTSU? The new coach is going to have one hell of a task in front of him trying to keep the locker room together while we win no more than 3 or 4 games max over the first two seasons in the AAC.
  10. This tweet was probably written by a 23 year old in charge of that account it wasn't even retweeted by coach Lashlee. That said, it's fully deserved. We've been here before, time and time again over the last 7 years. Another blowout, another game where Seth has a chance to prove we can punch above our weight and we get demolished, outclassed, and outcoached.
  11. I am far beyond getting upset when a SL coached team messes up royally I just laugh, it was the same thing with Benford.
  12. I'M ******* HIM Adaway is a GOAT for that
  13. We go for it on 4th and 2 from midfield but decide to kick in the redzone on 4th and 3? The inconsistencies are hilarious and maddening. SMU is clearly leaps and bounds more talented than we are with one of the best QB's in the country but it's still unfortunate watching us get dog walked again.
  14. Little to no resistance that drive. There's a long ways to go but they just manhandled our front.
  15. Pretty happy with what I saw last night but yeah, their 6'11 QB is likely going to throw for 400 and 4 TD's.
  16. Tom Trieb looks gassed already. Is there anyone who actually believed him and walk on Leota were going to be viable replacements for the Murphy twins?
  17. I don't know what point you're trying to make. The bulk of both coaches wins came against sub par competition, I don't disagree the original sun belt was filled with horrible teams and new programs. That 20+ conference game win streak is not as impressive as some think. One had almost nothing to work with the other had more than any coach that came before him and was compensated like a king. Dickey overachieved and Littrell underachieved. We should expect a hell of a lot more after pumping tens of millions of dollars in the football program.
  18. There really is no comparison between Dickey and Littrell. Dickey didn't have 1/ 1 millionth the support, funding, resources, facilities, staff budget, recruiting budget that Littrell has. Big Game Seths salary is in the top ten of all G5 coaches yet he's never won a bowl game or conference championship. The more I look up about Seths tenure here the more confused I am about how he is still the head coach. That extension is a god awful blemish on an otherwise pretty good resume Wren Baker has put together in his time here.
  19. Is this supposed to indicate that we are on an upward trajectory? Seth was 9-12 against teams who ended the season with a .500 record or better after 2018. 0-6 in 2019, 0-4 in 2020, & 2-5 in 2021 vs those teams. Over the last three years our strength of schedule has ranked 120th, 121st, and 111th. Since 2018 he is 2-15 vs. teams that ended the season with a winning record. Take away the 3 wins vs. FCS schools, and bottom feeders UTEP, Rice & MTSU his record is 4-21 overall with only 1 of those 4 wins coming against a good G5 team (2021 UTSA) .. He was exposed in 2019 and he still has a job for what reason I don't know. FOUR (4) & TWENTY ONE (21) when you take out wins over FCS teams, Rice, UTEP & MTSU In 2019 we beat Abilene Christian, 1-11 UTEP, 4-8 UTSA & 4-8 MTSU In 2020 we beat Houston Baptist, 3-5 UTEP, 3-6 MTSU & 2-3 Rice Last year we beat Northwestern State, 4-8 Rice, 3-9 USM, 7-6 UTEP, 1-11 FIU, AND 12-2 UTSA
  20. No. Big Game Seth is 37-38 here, the definition of treading water despite having more resources than 90% of CUSA and 26 of those victories have come against teams with losing records or FCS schools. 11-38 against teams we should be competing with, and a few of these losses were against bottom 20 teams as well. The only way I bring Seth back is with a 3-1 record in OOC minimum, a conference championship and a bowl win, nothing less.
  21. Who knows if Littrell will even be here next season, we haven't had a defensive back drafted in 27 years, and only have 6 NFL draft picks in the last 38 years. The only way this would have upset me is if it was another AAC school or a G5 school I perceive as below us. Best of luck to the Atwood family!
  22. Not going to happen I'm younger than most on this forum and I have a kid on the way so if Littrell lucks up and farts his way to 6 wins against an easier schedule than usual I'm not committing to giving UNT $100 when I'll have a newborn around that time. Bring on the downvotes I'm ready.
  23. 2021: Victories over 1-11 FIU, 3-9 USM, & FCS Northwestern State 2020: Victories over 3-6 MTSU, 2-3 Rice, 3-5 UTEP & FCS Houston Baptist 2019: Victories over 1-11 UTEP, 4-8 MTSU, 4-8 UTSA & FCS Abilene Christian 2018: Victories over 1-11 UTEP, 2-11 Rice, 5-7 FAU, 3-9 UTSA & FCS Incarnate Word Even without looking up the 2017 or 2016 season 16 of those wins in that impressive 37-38 losing record came against god awful bottom ten teams. Now let's look at every big game of Seth's tenure here. 2017: CCG vs. FAU curbstomped 17-41, bowl game vs Troy curbstomped 30-50 2018: 4-0 with top 25 in every other post on GMG and we shit the bed vs La. Tech at home and then, somehow shit the bed vs. a 4-8 ODU team costing us the conference championship game and then we got curbstomped by Utah State in the bowl game 52-13 2019: 4-8 2020: 4 wins again, but "covid year" let's give our shitty coach another year, curbstomped by App State in bowl game again, 56-28 2021: He did, after 5 years, finally win one game we really needed to win that made the fans happy, beating UTSA. So 1-5 in big games. I could be missing some. Looking back at the schedules over the years I didn't even realize it had been 6 years. That is just depressing. Six years and not one bowl win? Six years and not one conference championship? Six years and countless defensive coordinators later there's still people with hope? Our defense performed okay, just okay, against teams in the worst conference in FBS when we were on that winning streak. We just lost the two most gifted pass rushers we've had in the last 20 years, that small showing of improvement will not be replicated in 2022. We are not going to win more than 5 games this season and I would bet everything I had on that.
  24. The area between Aubrey and Celina is being developed so rapidly I shutter to think what travel down highway 380 will be like since it's already a nightmare and they just now began construction to widen it. When will small towns learn it's not worth it to let your town be ravaged by builders who plop 500 houses with 4 feet of side yard in between each on 6500 square foot lots all for a little money? That whole area has a bunch of 2 lane roads without shoulders or turn lanes and simply doesn't have the infrastructure to support that kind of growth so quickly.
  25. 6'3 216 averaged 19.6 PPG, 41% from three on 148 attempts, nearly a 2:1 assist/TO ratio, 1 steal per game, and 83% from the free throw stripe. I would bet that his recruitment blows up soon enough those are pretty efficient stats.
