We could do that... but then our fans might disapear into thin air, or all the lights and scoreboard would go dark for no explainable reason just at the wrong time... and then most people would bitch about it a little bit, then say it's the coolest technological stadium ever... and just when our team would score the scoreboard might ask if we "are sure you want to do that..."

Nah... Over 20k for sure... I guessed it at 22k... but the student section was very overloaded... so you have to take that into consideration as well...

The press box side was very full... just a few empty seats at the bottom where you can't see the game over the players on the sidelines... I was supprised that SMU did't bring more fans! They had a nice showing... but, I expected a couple more thousand of them. Hey, why don't we get to count the fantom extra 5-10k fans that "show" up to their games? The student section was full and roudy the entire game... very nice game atmosphere all over... nice weather too. Great game. GMG!

The 1988 season was Erric's first with the Mean Green. He played a backup roll all season. Tony Cook and David McGinty (sp) played in front of Erric.

Ok, I watched this game again last night... every 160 minutes of it... a great game to watch. I watched the Texas Tech game too... Now, what did I do with the Rice game tape from 1988? I will transfer the 1988 Texas "a crime in Austin" game from HSE to DVD and ya'll can let me know who all wants a copy. I'll see if I can also put copies of the pressbox angle and sideline angles of the three plays on the end of the disc too. The HSE camera angles are not as good as the ones I shot in the pressbox along with Ken's sideline shot. Just PM me.

Since I was the one who shot half of that video... I too have seen it many times and has caused me strife... and I get that same taste in my mouth when the same thing happened to RICE, KANSAS, and others including a recent big game when a QB threw a TD with one knee on the ground. Oh, and they all involve Texas being the benefactor of a horribly bad call. I used to root for Texas when they played OU until 1988. It's just pitiful. Thanks for uploading this video I posted here one of the last times we played UT. Thanks, a very good friend of mine was the camera operator who took the sideline angle. Dale Hansen at WFAA and several Austin TV stations called us for copies of that shot the following week. We had the best angle from the sidelines of that particular crime committed on that day. Thanks MeanMag, If you view the master tapes in full resolution, as I have many times, you can clearly see that his knees hit the carpet a foot or more out of bounds on play #3. And a few blind and ignorant posters on the wHorns board thinks it was a "close" call also pointed out that there was time on the clock for UT to score after that play... well, if you saw that game NT held Texas to a goal line stand earlier in that game.. so you can't say that they could have just punched it in on the next play... plain bs. You should see the entire game yourself. I can give you a copy.

I use many PC's and Mac's every day... and the Mac's just gennerally work... very few crashes and stupid errors and such,... the Mac usually just kick ass all day... they need very little attention... Mac's do crash... just not all of the time...the PC's are constantly a problem...
