Time For A Realignment Poll
The Fake Lonnie Finch replied to UNTflyer's topic in Mean Green Football
I voted CUSA because the Big 12 is going to die, WAC is too far away and also on life support, and the Sun Belt may also perish. We need info-mation.... -

Second Team All-District Cornerback...caught 33 passes on offense as well...had a 96-yard KO return. Like it. Stick him on the defensive side of the ball, please.

Boise Mwc Invite May Come On Monday
The Fake Lonnie Finch replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
The MWC is a good conference. Unbelievable what their schools are doing on the football field: BCS bowls, beating BCS schools, etc. Boise State will make a good addition. Would love to see them face TCU, BYU, and Utah year in and year out. You wonder what might have been when you realize their commissioner was commissioner of the Sun Belt. Not necessarily knocking the Belt's current commissioner. Just saying the MWC has come a long way competitively in a short period of time. -
Hypothetical : If We Start Out 0 - 3 Do We Fire Dodge
The Fake Lonnie Finch replied to NT03's topic in Mean Green Football
There is no possible way for us to begin the season 0-3 with this coaching staff. I'd be shocked if we weren't 2-1 and Kansas State was worried because of our strong showing at Clemson. Chew on that, Chico haters! -

[Comment From HookEmHookEm: ] Why do you Ticket guys hate on Texas football so much? There is a huge fanbase in Dallas you know. Pandering to ou/SMU/TCU crowd? Friday May 28, 2010 11:14 HookEm 11:15 I guess cuz we have some Sooners on the staff. Personally I don't, and I always have been a Horn fan. Hey, HookEm: Go listen to Randy Galloway if you want someone to slobber all over Texas. The Ticket, thankfully, is like the majority of people in Texas and could care less about the Longhorns. -

Article mention Alex Lott because someone wrote an article about his dad Thomas Lott who played football in American college and now they go back and give him Hall of Fame plaques in different Hall of Fames not associated with any America professional sports league because he was a high school and college superstar and only played a little bit of the NFL for the St. Louis Cardinals when former American college football coach Bud Wilkinson accidentally drafted him and let him play a little even though no one in the NFL really ran the Wishbone so Bud carved out a little place for him to play before he retired to Plano, Texas and enjoyed a long career of being a famous former American high school and college football player who then had three sons who also played or are still playing college football for Rice, North Texas and Stephen F. Austin one of them is Alexander Lott as the article plainly states and he plays for a team we love very much called the University of North Texas Eagles Mean Green and the team for which he will win his first conference championship and bowl rings respectively under the guidance and wise eye of longtime American college football assistant coach Chico Canales who also goes by the name Mike but after he leads us to the conference title and bowl game promised land in 2010 the final year of our beloved and hated Theron Judson Fouts American college football field and cricket sanctuary which could have used an army of lizards to remedy the situation naturally and safe to mankind and the environment may as well be called our 21st century Moses although we've only wandered in the desert for five years and not 40 as the Bible says that Moses and the children of Israel did but we have shortened the name of Thomas Lott's second son to Alex instead of Alexander like the article's author did because he apparently does not watch enough University of North Texas Eagles Mean Green American college football or follow their goings on on the internet or gomeangreen.com whichever you prefer which we all enjoy very much because we can attribute and contribute to it in our own way such as a gardener who tends to his flowers and other seed-bearing and non-seed-bearing plants with his own special tender love and care every morning evening and afternoon and sees that it is good even though you will see that the article does not even bother to mention that Alexander whom we call Alex instead did not always play for our beloved University of North Texas Eagles Mean Green but was first forced at gunpoint to begin his American college football career at Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs although he never played for former American college and high school football coach Dennis Parker who also coached at the University of North Texas Eagles Mean Green and Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs before going 0-11 last year and quitting just to prove again that it is never a good idea in the post-World War II Era to try and hire a high school coach to coach American college football: http://www.kens5.com/sports/DAVID-FLORES-Ex-OU-QB-Lott-enjoying-new-career-as-radio-host-94732259.html

My wife's family in Mexico voted for and supports Calderon. Their only other options were the traditionally corrupt PRI ticket, and the Hugo Chavez clone. Calderon edged out the Chavez clone. So, (unbelievably), it could be worse. However, that doesn't make Calderon any less of an ass for coming over here and saying what he has - given the condition of his own country. And, it doesn't make Obama any less of a suck up and phony for getting on his knees and basically servicing Calderon for two days. Obama has his head buried so far in the sand on the illegal immigration issue that it's unlikely to end well for anyone. He's a spineless turd. And, I mean that in the most sincere and positive way. Obama is a spineless turd of the highest order. When all is said and done, his only historical match will be Britain's Neville Chamberlain who soft-pedaled Hilter's obvious threats. Peace is only a viable option when the other side wants peace as well. Mexico wants no part of keeping peace along the border. Mexico only seeks our complete capitulation of sovereignty at the border, nothing less. Therefore, there will be no peace along the border.

Article about Strengh and Conditioning Coaches and their roles in the summer. This is why we needed one of these guys full time for football alone, years ago. http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1086191 It's also the reason why I keep saying this team will look night and day different than the previous five years. Gahagan will have had those boys for a full offseason and two full summers when they hit the practice fields in August.

Looking Aroudn The State ( Football Recruiting )
The Fake Lonnie Finch replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
None of this worries me as much as others. We're not, nor were we ever going head-to-head with Texas or anyone from the Big 12...or any other bigger conference. And, yes, I realize some kids say they have offers from this school or that. But, having known several people who played college ball and other sports, words at this point in the game are just words. I've seen guys with shoeboxes full of letters from schools and coaches. We are what we are. If every other Sun Belt team had 20 commitments at this point and we had zero, I'd worry. Our clout at this point in the game is that same as it was before Todd Dodge arrived - even though many here believed Dodge had some magic recruiting dust to sprinkle over the landscape and change it. No matter what your conference - and particularly in the Belt - the only magic dust is winning. And, we will win this year. And, I think we will win it all. But, even if I'm right and we do win the Belt, I still don't think we'll be up there with Texas, OU, Texas A&M, etc. with half a dozen or more commitments by May 2011. It's just not going to happen that quickly. It takes season after season after season of proving it. We're not there. The 2010 season is the first step. But, don't worry about recruiting at this point...unless UTEP or Rice or ULM or Lousiana Tech or Tulsa, etc. go on a summer tear and start garnering a bunch of commitments. Kids are going to see that Chico Canales is a guy who they want to play for. They are going to see Gary Deloach and Mike Nelson's defense is worth playing in. But, they have to see it first. -

Scholarships are a one-year deal. They are essentially grants-in-aid that are either renewed or not year to year. There are no "four year scholarships" in college football. -
What are you talking about? We're talking about well run entities versus government run entities. If my dad is successful enough to not have to go to the poorly run government hospital, he shouldn't have to. But, that's what we'll all evetually be shepherded into - except the rich, who can always buy out - if we are in the middle class. You miss the point. This point is all of this government regulation supposedly aimed at bringing down the rich never affects them. It's the middle class that is screwed as a result. That's what happened with the credit card reform, and that's what is happening now with banking reform. And, it is going to happen with the health care bill is fully implemented. The rich will go elsewhere and the middle class will be stuck with the bill...and stuck with fewer services than they could chose on their own before the bill. All in the name of 32 million people (which is another lie...they'll dump 50 million on the system), the majority of whom either don't want to buy it for themselves or who refuse to make the sacrifices necessary to budget for it. Also, I pity anyone who thinks that the FDA and pharmaceutical companies are at odds. Those companies have been buying off the FDA for years. Same with the big agricultural outfits that are subsidized to the hilt with out tax dollars. As for any type of further regulation, go hit a law library. There are already over 75,000 pages of regulation on the book federally and more coming every year! And, we need more? At some point, you let the winners win and the losers lose. We already have safety nets for the losers from cradle to grave. Why pull the middle class down with them? Let the failures fail on their own. But, they sure shouldn't dictate how the people in the middle pay taxes - and mostly for services they don't need - and choose services, such are where to get their own health care. You cannot equalize society. It cannot be done because there are too many lazy people. What I'm saying is quit punishing the middle class under the guise of "sticking it to the rich." Anyone who believe "the rich" are getting stuck or having things taken away are completely blind to any basic notion of economics. The rich will stay rich, the poor will stay poor - and the middle class will get screwed along the way every time a bill is passed that foolishly tries to close the "gap" between them. The only way to close the gap is to get off your butt, quit crying to the government, and work!
