I've always viewed our bailout of France in WW II as payback for the American Revolutionary War which it's doubtful we'd have won (or at least not as easily) without the help of the French. Besides, if it weren't for the French, what would you eat with your hamburger ?

Do you know which field at North Lakes you'll be using yet ? I'm guessing 5 or 6; they play VERY differently according to weather/wind direction. Have y'all done that research yet ? If not, let me know and I'll be glad to help if I can. I've umpired many ASA/UIL fast-pitch games on those 2 fields. Best of luck, and I'm loking forward to seeing y'all in action

You can only go to the Corvette museum so many times, I suppose It's a must-see while traveling through...right on the Interstate. The town of Bowling Green and WKU itself didn't appear to be all that bad, sorta reminded me of a smaller Champaign-Urbana circa mid-late 80's.

Had to work a HS playoff game during NMSU game (DAMMIT !!!!), and some will recall that I spent a large portion of last year in Afghanistan (Kabul and a few other places). While there I posted North Texas stickers everywhere I could, about 50 or so. Least favorite game: Idaho back in the mid-late 90's during a game-long driving rain. Anyone that stayed till the end of that one (no more than 200, tops) truly believes in the Mean Green. Favorite Game : MTSU 2001 -where it all began. I actually told my APO buddy sitting next to me that the MTSU return guy was up WAY too close (just before THE Punt).

As someone who played Strong Safety, Centerfield, and tuba, I call this total baloney.

You know how Texas Stadium has all those pictures of past Cowboys greats surrounding the stadium? We could put up a large picture of the soon-to-be-former golf course (at sunset, of course) so folks from all around could come and look at it. It would be most serene and tranquil.

It's easy. Kiplinger's must have sold quite a lot of subscriptions in Richardson/Plano lately. That's exactly how the US N&WR stuff works...look at the schools. You have the obvious candidates, Ivy League plus Stanford/Northwestern/Duke/Rice, and then an endless parade of Mega-enrollment State Universities (with gazillions of potential magazine-buying alums).

Best Rangers : The mid-late 70's old script with cowboy hat/baseball logo. Best Mavs : mid-80's, new style too avant-garde. They look like a completely different franchise (not necesarily a bad thing). Best Cowboys : late 70's-early 80's whites Best Stars : old road (all black with green/gold) Top 5 NFL 'color' uniforms : 1. San Francisco- rich color scheme. 2. Green Bay- still the best green uniforms ever. 3. Oakland- Just Win, Baby. 4. Tampa Bay- a great look. 5. Pittsburgh- the logo on one side helmet is unique Top 5 NFL 'white' uniforms: 1. Miami- best of all teal/turquoise uniforms in sports. 2. Dallas- the America's Team look, NFL should forbid Dallas from wearing blue. 3. New Orleans- excellent use of black/gold in moderation. 4. Cincinnati- only thing the Bengals have ever done right. 5. Cleveland- classic look, NFL should forbid them from the ugly brown uniforms Baseball look that neds to come back IMMEDIATELY: non-Yankee pinstripes (Cubs, Padres, Brewers)

To get to this ball park, take Bonnie Brae north across University and turn right on Windsor. You will now be in the middle of the park. The ballfields will be on the left across from the recreation center.

I always prerferred the Valentine-era uniforms of the late 80's and early 90's. Home was white with blue script "Rangers" and blue numbers, road gray with blue "Texas" and numbers. Best logo is still the 1st one , a baseball with a cowboy hat.

Might this cause the MWC to hesitate concerning Fresno State ? And what would the implications of THAT be ?
