The Raiders schedule was announced today, they have a home game on the afternoon of 9/18. I'm guessing that means we'll have a day game there on the 17th.

Mandalay is literally right across the freeway. I just wish we knew what time the game is to make travel arrangements, I only plan to stay 1 night.

Players are already sitting out the end of seasons. What's a few more games? And it's easy to see someone declaring themselves out for the bowl game, but might reconsider for 20-K or so

This is nowhere near the bottom yet. There will be players threatening to sit out the season unless their NIL gets increased. It's just a matter of when and where it happens.

More than a few. DBA, UTA, and TCU are pretty much the only options for playing Div 1 college baseball in the Metroplex. As someone that was desperately hoping to get a baseball scholarship out of HS back in the day, it is clearly not enough.

No one disputes they have more money than Satan. The point is what is it getting them? They're where we, UTSA, Charlotte, Troy, San Jose State, and Eastern Michigan are. But yes, they can (and will) pretend to be the tallest midget. Not much of a ROI, I'm thinking.

We don't have to pay gobs of money to get people to transfer to a G5/Mid Major. But hey, if that's what it takes for y'all, then get after it.

NMSU would probably love it. They would have a lot of football OOC contracts in 2022 to break though. If they could do it, it would put us back at 12, with UAB moving to the East division.

Actually only 2. We only need replacements for USM and Marshall, ODU wasn't on the schedule this year. I vote for MTSU and WKU since they aren't going with us to AAC.

At the end of regulation, the Bobcats had 17 taken free throws, the Mean Green 6.

They have a decent arena that has hosted some championships and tournaments but there's a sizeable group that think they need a new one anyway. They say it holds them back from joining the Big 20 Pee Wee Conference.

My guess is that aquatics doesn't have the young talent base in the area that other women's sports do (Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Volleyball). Our Tennis team is almost all foreign students.

I'd like to see the NFL get smart with this and place teams not in all major media markets but a lot of secondary ones. Teams would draw better I think in places like OKC, Austin, El Paso, Albuquerque, Louisville, Portland, Salt Lake City, Birmingham, Memphis, etc in a Spring league going up against MLB (in a normal year) and MLS. Make it become a legit gateway to the NFL and a place where athletes who have absolutely no interest in "going to class" to get paid while chasing The Dream. If it were successful, there would be a talent drain of course in NCAA football, and yes, it would be top-down. But I think in the long run there would be a long-overdue shakeout of FBS programs to offset that to some degree. I really do think that there's a decent chance that Football develops like this over the decade.

We have about 15 new fans in St Kitts at the beach bar I talked into showing the game. Their dish provider had Stadium channel so it was actually easy. There were several positive comments on the crowd
