  1. Sucks to lose but man is this offense something. Never seen anything like it in 36 years of supporting the Mean Green.
  2. Every simultaneous possession call that ends up with the receiver is exactly like what we just saw. The intercepting defender has to keep the ball until he's down. It's no different than when a fumble looks like one team has it before the whistle but stronger players on the other team get the call.
  3. Replay was a waste of time on that simultaneous possession. Refs were right there and saw it better than the cameras.
  4. The UNT receiver had more of the ball before the defender reached the ground.
  5. Memphis defender didn't have to bring it in. If he knocks it down it's Memphis ball. Gave us a shot to wrestle it away.
  6. Why is there a dude standing up in the middle of the screen? Is he 12-feet tall? If the answer is yes does he have eligibility left?
  7. Scored on a 71-yard, six-play drive that featured a Landon Sides 37-yard catch and a Shane Porter 10-yard touchdown run.
  8. The second quarter is more of what I expected with UNT's offense having to figure out how to beat the Memphis defense. They're giving up only 15.8 points a game (second in AAC) and we're scoring 40.8 (second in AAC).
  9. I don't think his elbow hit, but his folded-under Gumby leg touched before the ball started coming out.
  10. Time for a Ridge Texada interception.
  11. We're lucky Sheffield is OK after his leg got folded under on that tackle.
  12. Kenny Stabler just cussed you out in hell.
  13. Where is this Buffalo Wild Wings that doesn't show SMU? I gotta eat there.
  14. Our halftime defensive adjustments can't come soon enough for me.
  15. That was bad tackling on a whole 'nother level.
  16. NOW I'm mad Shorter transferred.
  17. Those unis make it look like we're playing the 1957 Detroit Lions.
  18. ESPN has us as 11-point underdogs tonight, which means we've got Memphis right where we want 'em. How many teams have we beaten as underdogs this season? We beat South Alabama as a 6-point dog in the opener.
  19. Maybe the factoid was limited to the regular season? I wish I'd enjoyed that bowl win more. It was the peak of the McCarney era and the first New Year's Day bowl for us since the 1948 Salad Bowl.
  20. I think that was mentioned during the TV broadcast of the game. I found that bizarre. We play that few conference opponents on grass fields? Even in down years we usually beat a few conference foes.
  21. The second major hurricane in three weeks, widespread power outages and 30% of gas stations in the state being out of fuel might have something to do with it. South Florida had 37 tornados during Milton, the most in a single day in state history. It has been beyond insane here.
  22. In the second half our defense gave up one touchdown after an interception put FAU on our 10 yard line and one field goal after an 18-yard drive. No other points. Part of the story of this incredible comeback win is that the defense rose up in the second half from astonishingly bad to almost average. And that was enough, thanks to the Mean Green playing 60 minutes of football when FAU called it quits after 58.
  23. DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE MEAN GREEN?
  24. Yeah baby! Never had a doubt!
  25. Does anyone else wonder where we'd be as a school and athletic program if our name became Texas State in 1989 instead of UNT? I was a student when our name changed and the perception back then was that the Texas legislature and University of Texas would never allow a school to become Texas State.
