This vaccine has a fantastic success rate of preventing people from becoming seriously ill or dying.
-
Won't see. I don't have to care what CUSA does any more, thank Touchdown Jesus.
-
It has always been the case that some vaccines prevent infection and others prevent disease. But even for the ones that prevent infection, 100 percent total infection prevention wasn't attainable. Even the smallpox and measles vaccines didn't offer total prevention of infection.

I'm not one of the people taking shots at her gender or appearance. I'm taking them at her performance. Here's a nice rundown of the CUSA's woes during her tenure as of 2020. CUSA's TV deal was the worst of both worlds: low revenue and hard-to-watch, hard-to-find media outlets. Yes, CUSA suffered from a drop in quality of teams during her tenure because of school departures. But was it really only one-fifth as valuable as the MAC?

I think losing 80% was the worst possible deal she could have struck, considering the deals the Sun Belt and other G5 conferences were getting in those years.

We did play the Salad Bowl. It was a new bowl in 1948 and the organizers invited two unranked teams that had never been in a bowl: 8-2 Nevada and 10-1 UNT. Then things got weird, as they often have in our bowl history. Nevada accepted the bid but later refused to play:

I don't care about her clothes but the conference being gutted before she took the job isn't enough to excuse her reaching a TV deal that cut revenue 80% per member school and relegated many games to networks nobody ever heard of that couldn't even keep their Internet streams working. The Sun Belt in the same time period landed an ESPN deal through 2028.

She makes $438,000, which coincidentally is the same amount as the next CUSA TV deal that was just signed with Pluto TV.

You should have more gratitude for us. We turned this season around with our tough criticism on this message board. I for one have never been prouder.

Same here. It even got said in the postgame. Congratulations on winning the CUSA But You Got Beat by North Texas Championship, UTSA.
-
If your drinking game requires a drink every time "they got beat by North Texas" was said during this broadcast, my condolences to your liver.

Cut 'em some slack. They haven't learned to tell time. They're only 10.

UNT is a magnet for weirdness at bowl time. In 2001 we were the first team to go to a bowl with a losing record in 31 years. In 2016 we became the only team to go to a bowl twice with a losing record (pandemic year excluded). Now we're on the cusp of going to a bowl game that didn't exist until bowl invitation week. But hell I'll take it. If we get this invite I'm doing my best Brian Kelly Southern accent -- Southern Massachusetts, that is -- and yelling WE GOIN BOWLING PARDNER.
-
I do remember when UTSA was undefeated. They came to Denton and got stomped so bad the footprints in their backs became fossilized and can be seen for the next 100 million years just like at Dinosaur Valley State Park.

One reason to feel confident about the bowl game

He looks like every coach I had in the 1980s at Burleson Middle School. I'm having flashbacks to running lines in the gym while Eye of the Tiger plays on loop. The D line played as epic on Saturday as his stache. -
When will Derek Football's sons be old enough to play for us?

Not a OU fan, but you have to question LR's ethics

I have trouble believing Lincoln Riley would be dumb enough to contact OU recruits about coming with him before the USC deal was official. -
That's what it looks like to me too. USC's proud, demanding fan base isn't going to like him much if he struggles. Lincoln Riley got one sniff of the SEC and ran away screaming like George Costanza shoving old ladies and children to escape a fire.

If someone had told me four years ago that Billy Napier could use La-La as a springboard to the University of Florida head coaching job I would've made them take a drug test. It goes to show that sustained winning at any level of the FBS makes things happen. North Texas isn't doomed by fate and C. C. Nolen to eternal football damnation.

That game was called on ESPN+ by UNT graduate Kyle Youmans. If you're reading this, Kyle, please remember in the future that your blood is green. -

Man that was satisfying. We put a start-to-finish beating on a ranked 11-0 team at Apogee and they're also one of our hated rivals. This will be high-quality taunting material to use on their fans for decades.- 275 replies

Nice throw, Marburger. Come play for North Texas. All UTSA has to offer you is breakfast taquitos. -

UTSA kicking a field goal to pull to within 29 is a weird decision. -

Seeing this score on the ESPN Top 25 scoreboard is beautiful.
