Can't let the players run the show here. If someone doesn't want to be here just because coach Chico wasn't retained, then happy trails to 'em. It might soften the blow for the players if Canales is hired fairly quickly as an HC somewhere else. Then it will look more like a positive career move for him instead of him being fired here.

Exactly. There are few things that would impress a recruit more than seeing a noisy, positive, rowdy fan base that he can picture himself playing in front of. Packed houses don't hurt either.

Don't forget the MWC likely brings multi bids to the BB Big Dance and likely much better seeding in the tournament. No more 15-16 seeds for us.

Don't know about the helmets, but they do seem to be headed toward 6-37.
