  1. Text of the terrifying speech, which showcases Obama's evil plan to destroy America from the inside out, can be found here. Maybe that helps in this thread's "debate". And yes, having cold tequila always helps, though we don't ever have a problem with the ice watering down the alcohol content with me, Captain Heavyhand, making the pours.
  2. +1
  3. pretty sure Regan is from Illinois, too. My roommate was making margaritas the other day and they kept ending up soupy. I was like, you have to put in more ice. Ice is the key to getting an even, consistent blend throughout. Having a good blender also helps. Go Mean Green!
  4. Riley Dodge's attitude alone is cause for optimism.
  5. And we won't be seeing him again, this season. After watching the clip a few more times from different angles, I think you've got to suspend Hout for a game as well, for being classless in victory by seeking Blount out and to show your fans and the rest of college football you won't stand for that with your program. As if the punch wasn't bad enough, the flip-out afterward pretty much showcased Blount's crazy and is probably the reason he's gone for the season as opposed to just a few games.
  6. Trash talk happens all over the football field. This is nothing more than the Oregon player letting out his frustration after having a terrible day against a better-than-advertised Boise defense, feeling stupid, and blowing up. Nothing about what he did can be excused.
  7. well perhaps we shouldn't have had our uniforms redone to look "just like southlake carroll"... But I'll agree, it was a mickey mouse broadcast, from start to finish, which was further evidenced by the gross number of infomercials played during commercial breaks. (though I may have to get that magical brownie pan). If Cam can remain healthy, we'll have a terrific one-two punch at RB... and we'll win a few more games.
  8. Exactly the part of the article I was about to highlight. We really did look faster last night.
  9. It was a good call and a stupid play. If you're a LB and the only guy in front of you is the QB- you run him over. Why hold him at all? But I'm not gonna whine about it.
  10. we don't need it to be THAT realistic.
  11. I predict Riley runs for 200 and passes for 267, completing 30 of 40 passes. It will be a close one, but with the game on the line, Riley runs in the final go-ahead TD with just 19 seconds left on the board. It will talked about for decades.
  12. I'm very specific with my words.
  13. nice. very, very nice. And I like this kind of spunk out of our players. yeeeeeep.
  14. Corona is the only Mexican beer that absolutely requires a lime to be palatable. But I concur, it's pretty terrible.
  15. This, to me, is where we need to see the most improvement, this season. It was our Achilles in the Rice game. Field position is everything. You've got to be able to get FGs
  16. That's about what I would predict the score being, anyways. The Rice game broke me. This one is also on the road against a decent, confident opponent and we are unproven in almost every aspect... Of course, it doesn't matter much to me... I'll still be watching the game, dressed in green, full of baseless optimism, ready to fight anyone that mocks my alma mater.
  17. I haven't had one of those, but I have driven cross-country, non-stop wearing a diaper and confronted my ex's lover.
  18. Or maybe there is more to it.
  19. if his only issue is possession, and he's dealt with it, why not? Let's bring em all down here. Though I suspect being a TN-native, he may find his way back there...
  20. I dig the hell out of Yuengling. I hadn't ever heard of it until I moved to Nashville. My roommate from Maryland/DC-area drank it all the time. Quality beer. Nashville has a good local brewery called Yazoo that makes a good Pale Ale. I'd shank a homeless person for a six pack, right about now.
  21. I've spent an extraordinary amount of time in San Marcos over the past month. It's probably my second favorite Texas college town, behind Sweet Denton. A lot of Lone Star consumed in those parts and that makes me happy. Good things going on there, too. Lot of school spirit. Seems like anytime I bring up UNT everyone is ready to argue with me about why Texas State is better. I suppose that's a boon for your fan-base. My #1 complaint has been that they won't take my out of state ID anywhere in the vicinity of San Marcos for the purchase of beer. Getting into the bars has also been a hassle. Makes me wonder what out of state students do. Suppose I could just go get a new Texas ID, but that wouldn't afford me the opportunity to bitch, now would it? I consumed a stupid amount of Miller High Life while living broke as hell in Tennessee. There was a bar on Broadway called Robert's Western Wear I used to frequent that played nothing but classic country, including the great Bob Wills. Anyways, they offered their own "Stimulus Packages" which featured a burger, a high life, and a moonpie for $4.50. That's livin' the High Life.
  22. LONE STAR! Dudes, it's brewed in Texas, a Gold Medal winner, and you can get a 6-pack of tallboys for less than $6. You can't beat it! (I like Pearl, too).
