  1. I really enjoy watching the Dolphins play football. They've got a team full of former college playmakers and they run a pretty exciting offense.
  2. I think people are waiting to see what UH does in the their third game of the season. If they can take Tech out at home, you'll see them jump in the polls and the media, etc will all hop on the the Coog bandwagon. If not, well it was a nice win and we'll see how they look at the end of the season. I'll be at the game Saturday and I hope they can pull it off.
  3. I thought he was evil because he hasn't yet denied raping and murdering a young girl back in 1990.
  4. Well, they certainly haven't yet! Think about it. We lost the Ohio game because we couldn't punch it in the end-zone inside the 5 yard line. Part of that was because we kept trying the same stupid up-the-middle play. Today, we insisted on trying to establish the run against a team that excels at stopping the run. This game plan didn't appear to be tailored to Alabama. It was just the usually game plan. It's frustrating to watch.
  5. I like how we kept trying to run the ball against one of the best run defenses in the nation. up the middle on first down? yeah, why not.
  6. Lebanese cuisine has always been fascinating to me. It really doesn't have an identity of its own, rather it takes a little bit from each of its neighboring countries (ie, those that have ruled it). My cousins make some ridiculously good raw Kibbeh, which is a very Lebanese dish and some of my favorite Lebanese fare. Hadn't noticed the Lebanese-owned Green restaurant trend, but it doesn't surprise me. Much of my family came over in the late 1800's and went straight to work in MS opening up restaurants and a general store serving up all kinds of Mediterranean dishes. Didn't know about the Lebanese Festival in Lewisville. Good info.
  7. If we score more than 13 points in this game, I will consider it a great success for our offense. We've moved the ball, this season, but it hasn't translated into many points. Bama has a stout D. Our scores will have to come from outside the 10-15 yard line.
  8. As a part-Lebanese member of the Mean Green Nation, I will support, reinforce, and endorse this proclamation. Dolmas, Baklava, Tabbouleh. yes.
  9. Seems we've never fared well against OU. Also, you always seem to particularly fond of the vom face next to your topics.
  10. Got a text from GMG's own CoachD. Verbatim: You have all borne witness. Beat Bama.
  11. I have question. NT has problem scoring more than 20 point in regulation. Because for why make think we score more than 20 in regulation Bama?
  12. mine is pretty awesome, but you can't really make out the words. perhaps I need a different one. I miss my penguin. and hell yeah to playing UT again. why not.
  13. anyone know if this game will be available in austin? (I can probably google this info too, just wondering OKAY)
  14. sketchy as hell, but it was like $22 at the time (I think this was back in 1999...) and we had of course been drinking. Anyways, as someone who loves travel but hates paying for it, I've stayed in many a questionable quarter. It's almost a rite of passage.
  15. haha, well either way, I recommend they go eat there. I ate an entire plate of ribs without bothering to wipe my hands. so good. sauce is really good. sweet tea washes it down best. (even though I never got into the sweet tea thing)
  16. I stayed at Desert Sands in Denton, one night.
  17. you're right. thanks for the correction. I thought that sounded wrong when I typed it. Yes, and it's off the beaten path so you may want to ask someone how to get there if you dont have a GPS
  18. "Texas... Fight" works really well at UT games. And "North... Texas" sounded really good at least once during the game, when the fans weren't bored or preoccupied with the game, rain, etc. Works better if the cheerleaders start it, that's for sure.
  19. Two Words: Frank Reich (may he rot)
  20. yeah, like at OU!
  21. Tuscaloosa is a fine town and the campus is really pretty. Everyone I've met from Bama have been good people. You'll get some ribbing, but they'll also be glad to take care of you. Also, go eat at Dreamland BBQ... the old one off 15th. Good pork ribs and stupid-good fresh-made banana pudding.
  22. yes it was, and it was the most ridiculous and glorious tailgate fiasco I've ever been a part of. Good times.
  23. agreed. ALL GOOD here, man. Is it almost time for tailgating again?
  24. I was only thinking about the regular season, but you're totally right. probably the Cotton Bowl since the Big 12 looks to be a dismal failure. We'll roll up the Georgia Bulldogs. It's gonna be so great.
  25. I'm fairly certain YOU removed that one, not I, good sir.
