We're going to need every one of those points. UALR essentially playing a home game for a tournament berth while our guys have got out of gas? I just don't see it. I read somewhere only 17 teams have won 4 straight games to make it to the tournament. Long odds, fellas. Looong odds.

I figure if we beat UH, the odds of us winning the conference is pretty good, regardless of what happens against FIU. Of course I'd like to win the conference and go to a bowl game- but we've done all that and it hasn't meant much. We need to beat regional rivals. We need to get buzz about our program in this state. I couldn't even tell you what happened with Sun Belt teams in the bowl games this year, who they played or who won. i know they were 2-1 because I read this board.

The games are of equal importance. UH and UNT are (alleged) peer institutions that go for the same recruits. A win over UH is far more significant in the court of public opinion than FIU. Tune-up wasn't the best choice of words. Insert "opportunity to kick off the rust"... whatever you want to call it, I think it's better to work out timing issues and get some real hits on guys than going in cold. Especially for the opening of a stadium against what on paper is a better opponent. As a football fan, the UH game means more to me.

And my follow up question is, does anyone that's been there know of good live music venues in Hot Springs? Thanks way in advance.

For those of you that have been there, if I've not already procured lodging, am I looking at an uphill battle this late in the game? Any idea the average rates of place? Yes, I realize I could do internet research, but I'm lazy and I'd rather get first-hand info from people that dun been there.

If they find out, we can just post it on the other 118 Division one boards and use the "everyone hates Notre Dame" vote to our advantage.

I'm going to throw out what is likely an unpopular opinion: Rudy is FAR from a story of success- it's one of great tragedy. Imagine if he had spent all that time working towards something he was actually GOOD at? Years and years just to suit up for one lousy play and a modest public speaking career? Pass.
