  1. I think the Theta Chi president did as good a job as anyone in the comments section.
  2. I don't even care anymore. I'm all about the Boise model. Just win. Win often. Win everywhere. That's all you can control. And we've invested in the things we need to do to do just that. WIN. TCU WON. UH WON. BOISE WON.
  3. I'd prefer to leave it up to the killer/authentic UNT fan. I don't want to stifle creativity.
  4. I'll be glad to answer this. The old Radisson parking lot is available for people to drop off tailgate items a couple hours before game time. There is a police officer in the lot. You are allowed to park for 15 minutes. I know this because I brought a generator to a "Frat" party the first game. And it was a royal pain in the ass. So they aren't getting any preferential treatment and you aren't getting screwed. They all still have to park wherever they can find a space. For us, it cost $20 and we had a hell of a walk. Contrary to whatever people on this board want to believe, Greeks on this campus NEVER get preferential treatment. They are ALWAYS under greater scrutiny and held to a higher standard than the average student. And that's okay, because most Greek organizations have it written in their codes to hold themselves to higher standards, and by being highly-visible, it is important all are aware of how they are being perceived and that any action they do is a reflection of their fraternity/sorority, as well as the Greek system as a whole. But to suggest otherwise is just wrong.
  5. Didn't see any boys with flags.
  6. Remember to include my suggestion of just killing people that won't go into the stadium. It's time this board made its presence known. People at UNT need to know that we run this MF and that we won't stop short of anything to get what we want.
  7. Probably, but this idea seems dumb as hell to me.
  8. That's good info, thank you. In that case, it's absolutely worth going to it, even if only for 4 years. That's four years of recruiting as a BCS conference. The Big 12 still holds a lot of the cards to what happens, IMO. Plain and simple, it's a better, more stable conference. Which is hard to even say, given the madness that's happened over the past few months.
  9. Further, if the Big 12 really wanted to stick it to A&M, they'd just grab UH as well, on condition they built a sparkling new stadium (and played in Reliant for the mean time). Then you've expanded to every Texas market. You've got a conference that, with the addition of TCU and WVU, could be stable for the foreseeable future. With the outside chance of adding a Notre Dame (which if that happened, makes it as good a football conference as anywhere), it's a bonafide, top-tier conference. I understand Deloss wants no part of UH, but some of that pride maybe should be set aside to preserve a close-nit, regionally-logical, top-bottom strong conference (which is what he's alleged to want all along). Especially since UH is head-long into a drive to Tier One.
  10. If this happens and the Big East doesn't get Boise, I don't see how they keep their auto-bid. And at that point, why would UH and SMU even bother? And now there are reports UND could move their non-football sports to the Big 12. If so, the addition of WVU and ND is at-worst a wash, with regards to basketball- and more likely an improvement over Mizzou and A&M.
  11. Given the history of losing and in the context of the other things going on in the Metroplex, I'm okay with it. It will improve quite a bit, just as it has for U of H. I keep saying it because I believe it is true: Winning solves almost every problem UNT has. We have facilities. We have a legit coaching staff. Our basketball program is solid. The admin is committed to raising the profile of the university on every front. Just win, baby!
  12. We are 912 spots ahead of USC. That should help out tremendously with recruits.
  13. Exactly. I saw a few people jumping the wall onto the field. My first instinct was "oh Lord, this is pathetic"... then I realized these kids voted to pay for this stadium, they haven't seen a winner since they've been to North Texas, and they are the faithful that showed up in the face of a Rangers WS game. So who cares. Let's just keep winning. And let's leave Apogee with a .8333 win percentage in its inaugural season.
  14. One of the high points of my day was sitting next to Thompson's mom and hearing her yell "that's my baby" after throwing a touch-down pass. He looked good on Saturday. Hopefully this is a glimpse of what's to come!
  15. Well, if we go by rankings and win the three games against the teams that are ranked lower than us, that puts us at 6-6.
  16. Wow.
  17. Bingo.
  18. I think its time we consider killing people that don't come inside the stadium. Probably only have to off a few before they get the picture. You say you want to be big time, I say prove it. Your move, RV.
  19. I Imagine Greeks make up less than 5% of the UNT student population. They aren't the problem.
  20. ULM's D is going to give our O fits. If they score more than 17, we lose.
  21. UH makes sense, from a basketball perspective. SMU doesn't. SMU's name carries more prestige. But neither school has done anything of note in any sport in over two decades.
  22. As an Astros fan, this has been a conflicting series. But I spent a lot of time at Rangers games when I lived in DFW. The team was absolutely terrible. But the hot dogs were cheap, the beer was cold, and the ball park is fantastic (if not hot). And there was always a lot of scoring. I don't have much else to offer. Go Rangers.
  23. I don't even know what to say. I should be at a place where nothing on this board surprises me, yet it does. Daily. Times like these just make me want to escape, go flying through the forest.
