ASU isnt any faster than us. This USM team wasnt as good as last years. I think our previous teams would have played as good or better than this ASU team. ASU barely beat our worst team in 5 years, come on guys

it looked great on ESPN HD... we have come a long way in that respect. Didnt look like USM had very many people at the game but ASU's crowd looked pretty good. Attendance looked lighter than years past, and I guess this is why: according to a Yahoo article,

I think the angle is that we will have more family and friends in the stands to see local kids play or something. but even if we had 70 players from DFW that brought 10 people each, it wouldnt make a sizeable contribution to the attendance numbers, so I guess I also would like to know what the thought is...

yes, he was largely responsible for getting it here at NT, which has been one of the biggest things to impact attendance (IMO) I dont understand the person who argues RV hasnt been a terrific asset to NT, as it doesnt make any sense to me, so please enlighten me. Im not willing to throw him under the bus for not getting some team I dont care about one way or the other to denton. Having Tulsa, SMU, Baylor and La Tech at home mean more to me than AF ever would.

Who says they havent tried? I agree with you 100%, Im just saying, it seems like it would not be that hard to do (make a few calls, make a visit), so what would make you think they havent or dont go after transfers?

while it is undeniably true that southlake is one of the wealthier areas in Texas, Katy is no Lake Dallas itself... its a pretty decent area if you can get past the hellacious traffic on 10. I imagine you would see a few boxes open. Thats pretty funny though, and having lived next door to southlake for a couple years, I cant say im suprised!

seems like every time we lose to a big team everyone cries it was due to "home cooking". You cant turn the ball over that many times, then have the other team capitlize on those mistakes, and expect to win. We didnt bring our A game, and you cant afford to do that against teams like Texas. And I am tired of losing to Texas.

if they can eliminate the turnovers, they might have a chance to pull this game out

Thats true, we do already have Tulsa and SMU next season who are both CUSA. Therefore I shall stick with my original pick of another Big12 game, and if not, Im all for NMSU

Is it just me, or is anyone else tired of hearing from T.O.? Here's his newest news-maker Owens Feels 'used' by Eagles Seriously, the guy has more issues than newsweek. And the constant "me against the world mentality" is lame. I wish nobody would pick him up. Send a message that its a team sport, we wont tolerate guys that dont understand that. Of course that wont happen, as the guy is the best WR in the league, IMO

I would really like another Big 12 or C-USA game for that 12th spot... anything with regional interest. Playing @ UH, Rice or A&M would be ideal, but im obviously biased have they given any indicator as to what it might be, or is there even going to be a 12th game scheduled?

The people posting on this are uninformed. +The new BCS doesnt factor SOS as heavily as the old, so playing "lay ups" like NT and Rice have very little effect. In fact, if we end up having a 7-4 year, it actually HELPS them in the end, as we are another bowl team with a winning record. +UT schedules us (and other 'belt teams) because they want a W in their home opener. Its like preseason. +They play Rice because it gives them a chance to show off for recruits in the Houston area. They are also an old SWC foe. +SHSU was scheduled at the last minute because UT's AD claimed they could not find another team with an opening in their schedule and it is at least regional. +"Other mid majors like SMU"? Since win did SMU become a legit mid major? you would think being"educated" UT students/ alums they might think a bit before firing off some of these zingers. Id be pissed if I were a UT fan though, especially with SHSU. I guess they forgot OSU is coming into town a week after us. A team that will likely be a top 5 team and NC contender

yeah, it went something like this: "you probably wont want to play here because alot of big schools will want you. Plus we have a really tough situation here. Our fans dont help much. But if you did play here you wouldnt have to worry about me coming down to hard on you if you did do something stupid-- im not in to discipline. I dont have prove you wrong to ask for a basis on which you make your accusations. Im not the one throwing around conspiracy theories based on heresay. You may be right about Jackson. I havent heard many (if any) positive things about him. I do not know him. I do not know what he stands for. I do not believe, however that there are people in administrative positions that wish to sabotage UNT from the inside out, and are working here only to do such. Call it ignorance or naivety. I think maybe our opinions on the best way to further or univeristy differ from theirs. The guy may be a d-bag. Just have some basis for throwing around your accusations. at least use your haha
