Man, I am on sports overload tonight. college football begins, Texans continuing a good preseason and Astros chasing down the wild card. This is a good thursday night, a good thursday night indeed.

yes, they do suck. I actually had the opportunity to get some on the lower level near the 50 yard line and opted not, as I'd rather be around the rest of the Mean Green nation. Im with Emmitt... I will show up to any close road game and support the team. I hate losing at anything- especially the way we have lost the last few OOC games. Still wouldnt miss it. Plus, I wouldnt miss the unveiling of the godzirratron!

eh, it is what it is. we actually used to play texas pretty well until the last 2 go rounds, and unfortunately, that probably wont change much this year. I am laughing at the guy that couldnt go to Texas to play ball, so he ends up at NT and now proudly proclaims "hook em"... its like the losers that cant get into the business/law school that have to go elsewhere and still root for Texas instead of UH or SMU. I did think this quote was pretty funny:

I too am confused as to where the score will come from. Maybe defense? What part of our offense is any better than it was in 2004, WR's? Well Quinn is out, so that hurts us. UT's defense has only improved since the last time we met with the addition of Chizik. Will our defense be any better than the 65 it allowed 2 years ago? I just dont see it. I hope our guys come out fired up and prove everyone (including myself) wrong, I just dont see it being close!

well, OSU's defense is going to have a little work to do themselves in their opener. NIU has a pretty good offensive attack and Garrett Wolfe is a stud. Replacing the back 7 is never easy, no matter who you are, and replacing one of the best LB cores college football has seen in a long time wont be easy either.

it wont be as bad as 2004. the fact that they are breaking in a new offensive unit will be part of the reason. to think their QB's will have a perfect game is absurd. They will make mistakes. On the flip side, we are guaranteed at least a couple turnovers. who knows. I honestly have no idea what to think of our team. I dont know how good our D is going to be, I dont know who is going to play QB, I dont know how J-mo is going to look... so many things left up in the air.

I join you in that camp. but Im not very smart, so that doesnt do much to support your opinion.

our non-conference schedule includes 3 teams that many predict to win their respective conferences. That should be fun. not.

the RRS is usually in the morning, while our game is scheduled at night. I dont see the conflict...
