Reality is, most people outside of the metroplex are uninformed on ANYTHING related to NT. I look forward to Dr Bataille and our new coach changing that! Some interesting points were brought up. If Greg Davis gets the boot or takes the UAB job (if that is even a possibility anymore), would Texas look to Dodge? What about Texas Tech if Leach goes to Miami? Just a couple things to consider

is that supposed to be a point? 9-3 and 8-4 against the worst competition in D1 college football, while still getting your ass kicked in every non conference game (sans BAYLOR) isnt really anything to write home about. Has Southlake even lost 7 games in the past 5 years? My point is, relatively speaking, we have come no where near achieving the success of Southlake. We'd have to go undefeated a couple times to even consider comparing our success on the D-1 level to their's on the highschool level. Go 11-1 next season and I assure you the attendance average will be higher than 15k

If we won as many games as SLC has in the past 5 years, you wouldnt be able to BUY a general admission ticket to Fouts Field and a new stadium would already underway. Dont underestimate the power of winning.

by a long shot. but I agree with Rick, it is kind of a sham the way it works out almost every year with 2 or 3 teams having legitimate claims to the game. I mean, who's to say Wisconsin or (long shot) Boise State isn't the best team in the nation? I think you've got to at LEAST do a 4 team playoff

I am pleased with those three, with Dodge being the last. how about this? I know plenty of Texas fans that would LOVE to see this, as he has often been criticized for his seemingly inept play calling and many believe VY saved his butt. If this happened, this COULD pose a problem for us. If Texas is in search of an OC, you think one of the guys on our list might be interested? I can think of one in particular.

the Heisman is a product of ESPN hype. ESPN decided from day one it would be Troy Smith and has hailed him as the leading contender the whole way through the season. Its no longer the best player in the nation, its the best player on the best TEAM in the nation. Although I still think they screwed it up last season by giving to Reggie Bush over Vince Young (though a solid case could be made for both). Clearly his performance in the national title proved, regardless of what you think of the longhorns, that he was in fact the best football player in the nation.

I like them. lots of schools mix up the colors. as long as the green is in there somewhere, I dont care how its mixed up with black and/or white. I like black as our new tertiary color, looks sharp

Leach is the only one I could see leaving their respective program. If you were Bob Stoops, why would you ever leave OU? I sure wouldnt. Same for Pete Carroll or Mack Brown. The job is too good!

well, if the MWC becomes the best non-BCS conference, and there are more competitive teams in it, I dont see how you could have a team in the BCS every year. The only way any non-BCS school has a shot is by going undefeated. I would think a more competitive conference might make that a more difficult feat.

well if thats the case, they may luck out by having y'all there. I cant see Kansas fans being excited enough about playing the Mac Champ that they would travel in droves to Detroit... just a thought. Hopefully y'all can get a good crowd in there and pull out a W. would be nice to see the sun belt co-champ knock off the Mac champ
