  1. he's listed as the WR coach and co-coordinator along with Dana Holgorsen
  2. seriously, now more than ever, it's time to step it up! I'm not trying to get on a soapbox, I'm just passionate about this program. We have an opportunity to do something special in the next couple years, and for the first home game next season. Lets do it BIG!
  3. I've wanted to hear a UNT coach say this for 8 years.
  4. I absolutely love this article. "The Metroplex's Team"
  5. I noticed it, but it's still a STEAL! also, did they up the minimum donation for section E? I thought it was 250 last year.
  6. I was going to post some smartass quips on some of their comments, but I kinda agree with the other posters on our board- who cares. Plus, I didn't feel it was even fair to start in on on a message board that features a Tech fan named "winorloose" Every day that goes by is another day I am glad I'm not a Lubbock CC Sandaggy.
  7. I was just about to come back on here and post something similar, got caught up at work. Lately my job has gotten in the way of my gmg.com time so, 'Ditto'. Took me a lot less time But seriously. When was the last time you guys went to a bowl game? If it were my school Id be sure to make the trip, regardless of location. If MTSU doesnt represent well, it will be a tough sell next time our conference has the opportunity.
  8. And hell, while we are at it, tell me, do you think 30k would consistently show up to watch TCU play the likes of ULL, ULM, MTSU, Troy, FIU, FAU, etc, etc, etc? Just curious.
  9. Couple more facts: Fort Worth Population: ~ 500,000 Denton Population: ~ 100,000
  10. a lot of people would. Us getting into C-USA would help the cause out tremendously.
  11. not likely. The U of H tie is Stephenville/Briles related. he was also looking at Louisville. That would certainly be a more attractive offer. I cant imagine him wanting to come and play in the sun belt conference after transferring from a team that had ambitions of a national title.
  12. I didn't meant that to come off rude, I'm just saying, being there in the opposing teams colors hasn't been an exciting experience for people i know! I realize UT is a different beast than most other opposing teams. Maybe I will go next year and experience it first-hand, with some of the people that have had the good experiences!
  13. typical response from an Arkansas fan. You wont change my mind on this, some of the fans that were harassed were family members of mine, others were close friends. Its been that way for decades, and I dont see it changing. Ask anyone that isnt a fan of Arkansas, you will hear similar responses. Like LSU, there may be some nice fans, but the overwhelming majority of a-holes ruin it for the rest! aggies are generally gracious fans, in my experiences (though incredibly annoying in groups)...
  14. I'm not looking forward to the Arkansas game at all, and I have very little interest in traveling to their stadium. They have some of the worst fans in college football (if you are wearing the opposing team's colors). I have friends that went to the Texas game there, and they had never been treated worse. No thanks! OU should be a good time. I think we keep the game closer than years past. I'll definitely make the trip up to that one!
  15. so the biggest hire in mean green history is a high school coach? I mean, I'm looking forward to seeing what the guy can do, and if its anything like the success he has enjoyed at Southlake, it will be great. I'm not ready to crown the guy savior of football. There were a couple good candidates out there that already had proven success at the collegiate level. Hope all the excitement everyone is feeling translates into an instant increase in season ticket sales, donations, etc! go mean green
  16. Sorry, the Rice game is 2008 and 2010. My bad... per UNT website
  17. could be, we really need to win the games against the MAC and C-USA. Those are very winnable games. I edited my post to reflect what I was trying to say- brain not working this evening.
  18. so we play at least 3 road games in non-conference? @ OU @SMU MAC game at home @ Arkansas eeek! could be a rough start. (and that could be an understatement) The date with McFadden and the Razorbacks will probably prove to be the ugliest on the schedule.
  19. not sure if you watched the game, but his wide receivers leave much to be desired. One of them dropped a deep, well-thrown ball in the first drive of the game. Not sure if it would have been a TD pass or not, but his supporting cast is pretty lousy, aside from RB. either way, the guy wins. Better yet, he refuses to lose. Plain and simple. They have now won 6 of their last 8 games. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Titans sneak into the play off picture.
  20. my thoughts exactly. glad to see they are doing this!
  21. this rests heavily on the assumption that people were actually there watching the game. I'm guessing since that team has yet to win a game, there probably weren't many people at all.
  22. yeah, that guy is ridiculous. He's from Cypress, where I grew up. I saw the highlights of that entire game (it was against my highschool, Cy Creek), and he ran for 8 TDs. Rivals on McGuffie
  23. The Texans fan base took the largest blow in franchise history this past Sunday- one from which they will not soon recover (think "1993 Oiler loss to Bills" proportions). This is what happens when you pass on a winner- one that on the radio practically begged the Texans to take him- to keep a loser. I'm glad Vince is proving all the critics wrong. People in Houston are proud of the hometown kid and it showed on Sunday. It was a hard thing to watch. You wish the guy well, but you want your team to win. The Texans have largely been a stupid organization from the get-go, so I suppose it shouldn't be a surprise to me anymore. I honestly don't know why I am a fan anymore, aside from being from Houston. 5 years and counting, nothing to show for it.
  24. If we get to 77-1, I dont care if we ever get access to the team or players
