  1. you don't even- you're glib!
  2. well-said. living in houston, everyone thinks im crazy for going on the road so many times to see games. i couldnt care less. theres a certain indescribable elation i feel when i see our team take the field in the green and white. no matter the score, always enjoy. for the most part. I could do less 65-0s and 79-10s... but you get the point!
  3. agreed, this frustrated me most of the game. tis much better to wait til the end of the game to go for two, then BOTH teams feel the pressure. oh well, wouldnt have mattered much anyways when your d gives up a 70 yd TD run in the closing minutes...
  4. yeah you're right. 40 is similar to 1.
  5. yes, this would be huge anywhere. Maybe even a bigger deal because those are big time programs with huge followings nationally. Sorry the "they always pick on the little guy" excuse just doesn't apply here. These are serious infractions, and if true, they deserve everything they get.
  6. yeah, those were the only big mistakes I saw. The pitch was just a stupid mistake, and you'll get those with young guys like Gio that want to make something happen. He should have held it and taken the couple yard loss. Thats coachable. Same for the endzone fumble. Trying to do too much. I can live with pick's 1 and 2 in weather like that, since they were receiver errors. As the field dried, you saw less mistakes. Lafayette was under torrential downpour as close to one hour before kick off. That had to have some effect on the passing game.
  7. so I take it we haven't won any games yet?
  8. if at all, only slightly. If Vizza develops the intangibles Hall possessed (leadership, etc)- and I think he will- we'll be in great shape for years to come.
  9. bizzump (since it was last bumped over the weekend)
  10. oh yeah, like people really use sarcasm on message boards....
  11. Am I a bad person for thinking that's kind of funny? I mean, lighten up people. Let's not forget, it's tech. They aren't exactly the benchmark for classy fandom.
  12. He really looked good at times during this game. That was one highlight of the defensive play this past weekend.
  13. I still have several of these shirts left in the following sizes and quantities: S - 2 M - 5 L - 3 XL - 1 If you'd like one, or another one, please send me a PM...first come, first serve. I'll accept a $10 donation (which is less than what they cost me), I'll ship them for $3 each. admin, if you need to remove this thread, go ahead... figured it wouldn't be an issue so far past the date of the game.
  14. tooo-shaaayyyyy maybe it was a former fat person, that's still a little dough-y...
  15. Well, FAU is probably the best team in the SBC (toss up between them or Troy with ASU close behind them both) and I still maintain we should have won that game. I think we win this weekend. I think our intermediate pass game goes OFF on their soft D.
  16. arent these our recruits?
  17. There are some good points in your post. A good run game can act as a good defense. The Texans beat the Colts last year in November and it was almost certainly because they established a solid running game, keeping peyton off the field.
  18. man, you're gonna get grilled, but there's something to your post... i agree with several other posters regarding scheduling. follow the k-state or A$M basketball method of scheduling. get some confidence, win some games, and fill up the stadium. money, recruits tend to follow.
  19. You'd better not be or Mike Gundy will eat your soul.
  20. We've got to establish a running game late in the game. We should have won this one. I understand the "go for the jugular", but my goodness, 14 points in the 4th qtr would have been huge.
  21. Im not surprised at all. how many games does Meager have to throw away before we realize he's not the guy?
  22. no kidding. Right now Im just walking next to the wagon... I might hop in after a couple wins...
  23. I dont know why, but the following excerpt really got me going... Or were they genuine signs of more things to come, a taste of what Meager and Fitzgerald and the rest of the offense can do when it comes together?
  24. flame away, but I think there's something to this part of the statement. I've seen him at various events. He's not a big guy... at all. Not a chance he's 6'. He'd be lucky to be 5'11. Like it or not, he's going to have issues getting the ball over 6'5" guys with their hands in the air. And here come the "what about Doug Flutie" comments...
