For real! Guy comes out the woodwork every couple years and gets nominated for an academy award. He's been nominated for some kind of award in 6 of the last 9 movies he has done, 4 of which included Academy Award nominations. not too shabby. Oh and he apparently enjoyed the Crucible so immensely he married Arthur Miller's daughter.

It's unbelievable to me that you would spend this much time and effort to come on to a board and insult our alma mater. Thanks for explaining what happens when people go to college. I'm not sure anyone could have figured this out with out your keen ability to point out the obvious. Clearly the money spent on your education was worthwhile. Please do give our regards to your parents, as they have no doubt worked hard to add another intellectual stalwart to our society.

well considering they lost to South Florida and got their asses handed to them on Tim Tebow's junk when they played Florida, I'd say no, they are not the best team in Florida. I doubt they are even the 4th best team in Florida.

At the last UT game, Rick told me Tech wont play us anymore. He said he has called, but they aren't interested. Maybe something has changed, but I doubt it.

Nothing wrong with that, though I think I'd rather beat their best team. By a lot. I want a UNT team that can play anyone's best, not hope for everyone else's worst. If that makes sense.

I mean, is anything about that statement untrue? At least we have recruits that are worth stealing. This is the way the game is played when you go after guys that a lot of schools are interested in having. It's a good thing.

I was an Oiler's fan growing up. After they left town (F Bud Adams), I didn't have an NFL team until we got the Texans. I'm a big Texans fan. I don't care if they ever win a Super Bowl (fire away), it's my team. I lived in the Dallas area for 6 years. Went to a few Cowboy's games, never got into it. Sure it would be easier to root for the Cowboys, but I have no attachment, and I'm always a fan of the underdog. Good thing, because I went to UNT. It's all Houston teams for me. Texans, Rockets, Astros, the occasional Dynamo game, and the local colleges (when not playing UNT). I also have a special place in my heart for the Detroit Tigers.

Is this a serious post? The Cowboy's as a team (minus Barber and Romo) played horribly. I don't know if it was the week off or what, but the o-line was a disaster in the second half and the guy with the "best hands" on the team dropped 2 big passes. Add to that more than a handful of inopportune penalties against an UNDERRATED team, you have all the makings of an upset. Give me a break on the fire the coach nonsense. Sometimes you just lose a game to a better team.

If the rest of the team had played as well as Romo and Barber, this game would have been an easy win for the 'boys.

I'd love to go into conference play 2-2, which is where I imagine they will be. Maybe 3-1 if they can pull of the TCU upset. Not gonna lie, I'll be a Texas State fan on 9-6-08 CORRECTION- didn't realize the Navy game was almost a month after the TCU game. Anyways, you get the point.

Texas A&M is a good bet. Mike Sherman will most likely install a pro-style offense, and he knows what it takes to be a QB in the NFL. I imagine they will be the front-runner, should he elect to not follow his offensive coordinator to Tennessee.
