  1. I wish I could buy a few buckets of reading comprehension to share with a few posters on this thread.
  2. trying to make it to second base.
  3. I don't imagine Karma will look upon this with much favor. For some reason smoking pot out of the skull of an 11 year old seems... wrong?
  4. You don't have to go to SMU to be an asshole. Take me, for example. On the flip side, my brother goes to SMU and he's actually a really nice guy. The world, she is a strange and confusing place.
  5. I don't doubt any of that, honestly. She's solid. Thanks for the info
  6. something like this would do nicely I personally love horse racing. I've got a lot of family that is involved in it. These horses are treated like royalty. It was a freak accident. Could there be things done to ensure these types of things don't happen again? Sure, but to call for an end to horse racing altogether is asinine. Many of these horses would never have even been BORN if it weren't for horse racing.
  7. by my calculations, our winning percentage last year just went up 2.222222222%. That, my friends, is cause for celebration.
  8. I'll take "hemorrhaging" for $800.
  9. yeah, he pretty much owns this thread.
  10. you're probably right, but I'd like to see what happens if we ever play a school in our state. I mean we've only played a couple in the last 5 years, and both times it's yielded a pretty good-sized crowd.
  11. seriously. and didnt they lose their super star QB? Tulsa is far from world-beater.
  12. I dont know. I've been poking at the hive, can't seem to rile any of them up. I imagine if they win a game or two at home, we'll start hearing from them...
  13. I'd welcome anyone beating the Jazz. Even the Spurs. Truth be told, however, the Hornets are playing good ball right now. They are actually a pretty fun team to watch. Even more so at the Spurs expense. Im trying to stay interested in NBA basketball now that the Rockets and Mavs are out, but it isn't easy. The nostalgic part of me (no, not THAT legendary piece) is kind of hoping for an LA-Boston showdown. I know, I know...
  14. Actually, the Rockets would have welcomed an opening round against the Hornets. They matched up well against them. Split the season series. But yes, the Hornets look to be legit and I'm glad to see the Spurs fail.
  15. Im really sorry to hear that. I hope you realize my the tongue-in-cheek nature of my posting title. It's pretty senseless, to be sure. Best to your friend and the victim's family.
  16. no I dont think that it makes as much sense financially to forgo a 700k pay day in favor of a FCS team at home. However, if we could work out our body bag game to be a couple weeks into the season (like LSU this year), I'd have no problem chunkin the deuce to K-State in to bring a local rival home for our opener.
  17. On a personal level, I'd be happy to come down to Texas State. I've got friends that live in the area and I know would be a great time! I just don't think UNT needs to be traveling to FCS stadiums. I'd love to have yall up to Fouts, however. Sooner than later.
  18. Eh you're right. It was our kicking game that was sorely lacking. Not being able to get field goals put is in unfavorable situations which often led to us giving up field position. So a better kicker...
  19. having a good punter/kicker would help out GREATLY...
  20. First of all, nobody can coach size like Jenna Jameson. You'll see less interceptions as Vizza gets comfortable with the system, matures as a player both physically and mentally (making the correct decisions, reads). So I'm not really worried about that. Plus we apparently have God's son, Riley, on the bench. I too would like to see Dodge solidify his position as the "right coach for the job". He clearly rocks the recruitment trail, just afraid the defense might take a while to catch up. Until then, I anticipate seeing more games like Navy (perhaps not to that extent, but you get the idea).
  21. I dont know dick about hockey, but I did see that hit that dude laid on the San Jose player towards the end of regulation and that was awesome. That's all I've got, proceed with the intelligent discourse.
  22. Yeah and those starters were part of a team that went 3-9 and then 2-10 the past 2 years... Im not placing blame squarely on the defense, but I think we've got good things to come. If we only win 3-4 games next year, I would consider that to be a huge failure.
  23. I'd like to see 7 wins. That's legit progress, in my opinion.
