    I agree UNT needs an indoor practice facility. In fact, I agree with PlummMeanGreen that we need this over a baseball stadium.

    That's right! There actually used to be a pretty good Mexican restaurant in Denton called Mercardo Juarez- not sure if that place is still there. Of course there's always Cheweys!

    OK, so I'm excited about flying in for the Idaho game. Since my favorite college hangout- Flying Tomato- is no more, I need some help from my fellow UNT'ers to find a decent place to hang in Texas. Since there is no such thing as good BBQ or Tex Mex in Maryland, let's start there- any ideas as to the best BBQ & Tex Mex in Denton? Oh, I'll also be looking forward to the tailgating on gameday!

    Honestly, DT WAS the only position I truly was worried about. However, after reviewing the updated roster and assuming Boutwell can have a monster year, I think we'll be OK even with this position. I can assure you the DT position is one I'll be keenly watching during the Idaho game (BTW just got my plane ticket!!)

    Good article, love the honest assessment. North Texas has truly benefited from the move regardless, primarily the fact our new conference mates for the most part are either TX based schools- UTEP; Rice; UTSA- or are well established schools people in general are familiar with- Southern Miss; Marshall. CUSA needs to keep improving, our schools have a lot of upside.

    Thanks letsgiveacheer! My bro (also a UNT alum) who is going to the game lives in Youngsville. Yeah, I saw the Hampton Inn was already booked- we're booking at the Holiday Inn Express.

On the first play from scrimmage at the then-30,000-seat stadium, Miner running back Larry Durham bolted 54 yards for a touchdown against North Texas State University. The Miners went on to score a 34-7 victory over the Eagles.
