One of my favorite NT basketball wins of all time! And the numbers of those are growing. Winning a tough game like this against an unfortunately difficult opponent will help win other important games too. Outstanding!!!

I’m thinking they got some of the ‘eastern’ Carolina bbq while in Greenville and, besides being a long way from home the better part of the week for 2 straight road games, that junk will make anyone feel bad. Supposedly the ‘western’ Carolina bbq is better but I’m here to tell you it’s ALL junk. If you want pork bbq, don’t go past Memphis.

I was at that dud in CLT last year and another one there before that. Good news: I won’t be there this year.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful moment in any basketball game.

Put it on the existing site. Play in Dickies or something for a year. Have some long term vision.

The venue is 50 years old. We’re not going to be Duke. It’s time for a modern venue.

The ears (eyes) are burning in Memphis with that 'Memphis State' reference! They get madder about that than we do about a 'North Texas State' reference, and that's saying something.

I'm sorry but they are to be officially referred to as Salabama.

The ACC had a good thing going. The games and away schools were fun. They were never meant to be big-time football. They should have let Clemson move on and never brought in any of those Big East schools. All this now is from the core of the conference trying to be something they never could be. I guess we should blame Maryland. Florida State is detestable scum. As for poor Syracuse please note they fired their coach recently and were on an interim for the bowl. While that shouldn’t necessarily produce such a result, sometimes it does. Though again, they shouldn’t ever have been in the ACC.

Complain all you want but eventually every FCS, DII, DIII and HS game will be viewable live too. There’s a stratification of bowl games. There’s a much more significant reward in some than there are in others. As long as it makes economic sense, bring them on!

Unfortunately $mu will be fine in any event; they are committed to it. For example, a diluted ACC will still be a better conference than American. And they probably provided they can renegotiate their concessions in the event of such material adverse changes. In other news, maybe it will make sense for us to join the reformed PAC 12.

I never say or write ‘UNT’ except in this one case. I never said ‘NTSU’ either. I never say or write UVA, for where i went after, either except in this one case. I don’t hear anyone saying TTU for Texas Tech. Why would anyone in support of this school ever have pushed or joined in for such branding/nomenclature?? I get it for $mu and Tcu; otherwise their names are a little long maybe. We should always be: North Texas, exclusively.

Apparently you have not been there or you would have seen Bank of America’s towering headquarters looming over those of the various other very large banks that have a big presence there. There is a LOT of money in CLT, and disproportionate to the smaller size of the city. And there is no local competition. And their NFL team is about the worst ever, so maybe people there are getting interested in the local college game. The setting of their little stadium is beautiful and that stadium will be getting bigger soon.

Awesome. It will all come full circle when there is a push for reparations to $mu for their suffering just for being visionaries. Anyway, ultimately there will be some athletes willing to play just for an education. They may not be the greatest athletes, but the games can still be fun. The most fun I ever had at a college football game was Villanova at William & Mary many years ago on basically an open field with a few bleachers. As fans, we just need to hang in there through all this.

It means we will have the opportunity to have a successful COLLEGE football team, and I am fine with that.

It shows that scheduling a bunch of teams you have a good chance of beating, and avoiding ones you’ll get killed by, is a good way to develop a large number of very devoted fans and continuing support, something we sorely lack.

And there is BC showing what you can look forward to in the ACC.

Surprised they aren’t giving it to Florida State. This confirms continuation of $mu’s own feelings of ‘national irrelevance’.

My point is that instead of getting obviously annoyed and saying ‘we need to improve’, I’d have alot more confidence in the HC if he had a couple talking points on HOW it will improve. That would be better leadership. Instead that part was discouraging.

That line of criticism is clearly getting to him. It would sure behoove him to elaborate as to why there is confidence and what the vision is for getting Caponi to where and when the defense is successful. I get that this whole coaching change is an investment with near term risk but also long term upside but after watching that defense in particular get burned by everyone all year, he would need to explain HOW there could be major improvement in the now near term. It’s not enough for just Coach Morris to have confidence. He should address why. That’s the only way there would be a chance of fans sharing that confidence. And if he thinks it is not important for us to share in it, that would be a mistake.
