Unfortunately I think the University of North Texas dragged their feet too much. There is no opening there. I agree though that if there was one we should take it. We should go a different direction than SMU. If we follow them, we will always be behind because they will only join a conference on the condition that we will never be considered for membership while they are in it.

I bet that most UTEP alums outside EP proudly wear burnt orange and don't even care whether UTEP has a team.

It does not matter unless we are able to kick the crap out of them every year. Oh man that in-state rivalries concept just drives me insane. However, unless our administration is going to invest in getting us to be dominant in the new CUSA, then I am all for going to whatever level they are willing for us to be dominant in, and if that means the *^%# Southland then fine and we'll have plenty of in-state rivalries until even ACU passes us by. +^%*#^%*^+>#!!!! Oh and Georgia State is the only one that makes sense in the new CUSA given their location. ^%*+#%£¥€!

I was never satisfied with the lack of a coherent approach to offense or that we struggled against the likes of UALR. I was prepared for some disruption in the hope that we might ultimately advance past where Coach Jones had gotten us. However, I am starting to feel really desperate about the basketball situation. I don't want him back though. I want someone better.

And why is it do you think, so many people don't give a damn? Other schools have people in their leadership and on staff who know how to create that connection on a large scale. North Texas does not. Our people have no idea how to build a brand past an elementary point and I think some of them don't even care about getting any better at it. Whoever our leadership is doesn't care either or they'd get rid of the inept. I have been watching this for many years and I don't think it will ever change. North Texas is a bigger school than most SEC schools, but you'd think it has maybe a couple thousand students. Our stewards and administration should be ashamed but apparently they have no shame. I do, and North Texas athletics has brought plenty of it on me.

I don't expect anything but disappointment from the world of North Texas athletics anymore, so however it shapes up, it will probably be bad. I wish some people who could make a difference would take interest. Instead we still seem to have a bunch of clowns flailing around. I send about a thousand bucks a year down there. I can't really do more than that. I don't even know why I do it anymore. It's really hard to justify.

Apparently you didn't hear, we weren't supposed to win this game. Thus, the team put all its effort into preparing for the next game, because that is what it takes to beat a high caliber opponent like South Alabama.

I feel the same. It was like they got all the suck out of their system on that one fourth and goal. There was no way to predict what happened after that.

I have to take back what I said. Huge win. Would like to see less mistakes but they sure didn't give up.
