So far at halftime, the Frisco is my favorite bowl. As for our own bowl performance, in comparison to MAkron, at least our 3 had a 0 after it.

It’s good for FAU cause they will get more money so they can spend on a replacement. Another year like this and dude WILL be on to greener pastures. With him plus the Briles though, it’s a good bet FAU is gonna get hammered for something and they won’t get the same kind of leniency as Baylor.

Wins are wins. We can’t know all they are faced with in allocating resources. It was very impressive to get the 9 wins. You can’t take away from that. But against better teams, you see the gaping holes that had to be made up for to get the wins. Those have to be addressed or they will be better exploited even by the lesser teams.

That bowl game showed you all you need to know. That ridiculous 2 point play shouldn’t have done anything but gone for a score the other way. And I recall multiple times Troy handed off once inside the 5 for walk-in scores. It was like there was no defense. Not even making it difficult. That starts from the top.

The only way to recruit OL or any position is have a position coach that is sure to help the player develop more than he would develop at peer programs. So the question is, do we have such a position coach? I don’t know who the coaches are at that level. I figure you can’t have the luxury of getting a dream position coach at every position; so choices must be made. But how is a craphole place like Troy making us look so bad?? We need to be killing the Troy and SO Miss and LT kind of places. I know it takes time to get back from being so bad, but I would like to hear about specifically how NT plans to get there.

Troy is in the top 30 and we are in the 50s. The score about reflects that. It was an unfortunate matchup. Overall I still think CUSA is a better conference. I am much happier in the 50s than the 100s. I thank Coach Littrell for that.

No I don’t agree with that about Charlotte at all. Eventually they will get their football going. And it is a place you can readily fly to. Lafayette is, as with some CUSA teams, in the middle of nowhere. If you are a player, you rather go to Charlotte where there is NFL and Cam Newton instead of Lafayette LA. The hunker down home mentality is disappointing.

Actually, every once in a while playing over there, is not the worst idea. The North Texas region is much larger than Denton, and NT does need to reach out to people over in that area. The potential is not to be Denton’s team, but to represent all those other millions of people.

Dickey was so stubborn. Probably SMU would get a couple good years but then teams would figure him out and he wouldn’t change and I would like to see SMU go through what happens next.

If it’s in the policies that a vote is required then they should change the policy. Otherwise, just make the fee change.
