The thing especially magnificent about Torrey’s big TD run was he got it all the way there. I thought for sure that owl DB was going to get him by the 5 but he magically stayed up! I can only imagine how excited his family must have been to see him on that run. That was a great COLLEGE football game; i.e. one that has a lot of errors, but that is what you get in college football. Despite a lot of frustrations there were some wonderful performances. Very proud of that win.

I’m not going to say anything about this game until after Thursday. If Thursday is a win I’m not going to say anything about this game. If Thursday is a loss, I’ll have some things to say. If Thursday NT gets out to a big lead but loses anyway, I’ll have some extra things to say.

I heard him giving an interview after a game one time. Great player AND a great ambassador!

The truth is you don’t know which Green will show up. The Mean one that thrashed Hogs and Liberty or the one that struggled against LT etc. And if you don’t think much of Liberty, ask Troy and New Mexico what they think. I certainly hope and expect the MEAN Green!

That was always going to be a tough challenge on the road. Give the opponent some credit and stop all the talk about abandonment. There are some more wins ahead.

That Hog one might have been a lot of Old Miss fans cause LR is not very far and their team has had some success. I think it is a good example and it brings up another point. The LT game was a gut punch for fans. Then the team struggled against the mighty UTEP. That kind of immediate past will amplify the effect of weather complications, and frankly the turnout might not have been great regardless. Maybe at least it means people are paying attention to the results? Next home attendance may largely depend on next game performance.

In any aspect where NT needs more support, it is never the right idea to sweep it under the rug, and it is always the right idea to get the message out. Though in this case, the message would be stronger if you show a picture of a big program with a lot of people out even with weather complications. I don't recall if there was such a situation yesterday. If so, you would want to also put that out there as a contrast and say something like, 'we can be as good as this program, but it means we have to act like them'.

That is so pitiful I almost feel bad for them. Almost.

Then another approach would be hurling highly insulting chants repeatedly at the other team in unison. What kicker is going to make a field goal in the face of the withering ‘We want a kicker, not a chicken licker!’?? It’ll take him right back to the time he learned not to drink the bayou water. 😜

Maybe they should focus on what it is they were doing that later opposing teams figured out from film, and come up with some kind of adjustments that will shock and dismay the next opponent.

I am gonna add that another big difference is we have a QB who can throw downfield accurately and I love it. Hogs were able to bring their defense up a lot on AU and that kept the AU offense off the field. I thought this was an issue Auburn had finally addressed but they have got very one-dimensional. We have seen so much of the same over the years but not now.

But theirs will shoot out fried chicken.
