That Hog one might have been a lot of Old Miss fans cause LR is not very far and their team has had some success. I think it is a good example and it brings up another point. The LT game was a gut punch for fans. Then the team struggled against the mighty UTEP. That kind of immediate past will amplify the effect of weather complications, and frankly the turnout might not have been great regardless. Maybe at least it means people are paying attention to the results? Next home attendance may largely depend on next game performance.

In any aspect where NT needs more support, it is never the right idea to sweep it under the rug, and it is always the right idea to get the message out. Though in this case, the message would be stronger if you show a picture of a big program with a lot of people out even with weather complications. I don't recall if there was such a situation yesterday. If so, you would want to also put that out there as a contrast and say something like, 'we can be as good as this program, but it means we have to act like them'.

That is so pitiful I almost feel bad for them. Almost.

Then another approach would be hurling highly insulting chants repeatedly at the other team in unison. What kicker is going to make a field goal in the face of the withering ‘We want a kicker, not a chicken licker!’?? It’ll take him right back to the time he learned not to drink the bayou water. 😜

Maybe they should focus on what it is they were doing that later opposing teams figured out from film, and come up with some kind of adjustments that will shock and dismay the next opponent.

I am gonna add that another big difference is we have a QB who can throw downfield accurately and I love it. Hogs were able to bring their defense up a lot on AU and that kept the AU offense off the field. I thought this was an issue Auburn had finally addressed but they have got very one-dimensional. We have seen so much of the same over the years but not now.

But theirs will shoot out fried chicken.

I was at the Auburn game. The biggest difference was how hard the NT defense worked to get pressure. Auburn got pressure but they more relied just on having a lot of mountainous dudes. NT defense was super active and confused the hogs bad from the start. The more we see of that, the better!

LT is a tiny school in the middle of nowhere. The expectation for North Texas in general should be to consistently destroy their kind of program. Typically they very much overperform and that is impressive; if they really expect to win you’d think they would be making NT out to be world-beaters so such theoretical win would be impressive. They seem confused/doubtful about their team’s prospects. I on the other hand, believe in the Mean Green.

I was at the Auburn - Ark game tonight expecting a 60 pt beatdown that didn't happen. I saw this beatdown of Fascism - I mean Liberty - in the 4th quarter and this is the best I've ever felt about NT football. It helps that somehow odu got VT. Wow!

I see we have the people rushing to defend Fascism - I mean Liberty - university. It is not a libertarian place, my friends. It is a place where you walk the walk and talk the talk, or else.
