  1. The location does have some good basketball connections. This is nothing like the Benford hire. The man is a successful head coach. Waiting on whatever a more ‘national search’ would be is not possible in today’s game. We have to be up and running NOW.
  2. They’ll have to draw a new version of that Chanticleer logo.
  3. I’ll bet this has the WV fans excited.
  4. I don't know what all other directions this process might have gone, but I was concerned it would go much worse than this one. He could be very successful here.
  5. Boohoo. I drove around this ridiculous fvcked up campus the other day. Some of these street contractors should be paying for this $hit. I can’t believe the condition it is in. Expect more. Yeh go on over there. That’s exactly what your face will look like when you see it.
  6. A balls move would be to hire this dude away from Birmingham. That kind of thing would get some contributions.
  7. Next.
  8. I’m not sorry to see him lose, cause he’s at TT. I want them to blow away in the dusty wind. I appreciate what he did here, but that is in the past.
  9. This program has earned better than an assistant at a program we just beat. While time is of the essence, if it takes a few days to nail down a current successful head coach, it is worth it. Anything less is a step backward.
  10. That was a heartbreaking loss. Still, a great season.
  11. Well; do we still feel the same about this with the current staff?
  12. Rough that big dude up early and we got this.
  13. Better do something right fast; portal closes April 22.
  14. I would hope the people paid to anticipate this situation have some prospective deals in place and were not planning lunches. Oh wait…
  15. It worked out pretty well before when we hired stAte’s coach. Oops I see he went to South Florida.
  16. Birmingham will rise to the occasion. They can't let themselves leave us alone. Like zombies.
  17. Justice has prevailed.
  18. Sad that they’ve managed to kill two birds with one stone. In addition to the burden on the team, now there will be a lunch where the feeling of ‘appreciation’ will have taken a large dent. Also sad, the callousness of Pistol Pete to be in a position to pick up the slack. Don’t they even have luncheons there???
  19. Maybe it is time to let the machines run such things. A moderately well-directed AI would have seen this conflict coming and averted it. It’s a terrible place for lunch anyway; go somewhere with natural light and not a jet black ceiling. Even an AI would know that. 😁
  20. Since there is clearly no basis for the numbers they are puking out, it would be much better for them to take some photos, have an AI stitch them into a 360, and then have it say how many people are in the 360.
  21. Great win tonight. But again with the attendance. That was like 2X '2661'. Really happy smu lost though; maybe these are the prices we have to pay for such things.
  22. I would think they'd feel more appreciated if the lunch was at a fancier venue.
  23. Oh I got that; I was just inspired by NTWL calling them old piss. Doubtless they have a horde of obnoxious fans who come out of the woodwork when the baseball or football, and now basketball, team does well. They will go to sad and extreme lengths trying to keep up with other SEC schools. I'm not really looking for that sort of end from North Texas, but we could stand to adopt just about any good ideas to get students and alumni to care about the sports teams some more and understand the positive impact they can have as fans.
  24. Or Ole Mess or Old Myth. The 12 years I spent in Memphis, with them only an hour away, did not endear them to me; quite the opposite. On the other hand, the truth is I hate nearly all universities that aren’t North Texas. 😁
