  1. http://www.chronicle.com/blogs/ticker/ncaa-wipes-out-2-years-of-notre-dame-wins-in-football/115700?cid=pm&utm_source=pm&utm_medium=en&elqTrackId=f794285066424482911208881dbddb6c&elq=a6c230c1323e420089a3769c2b3391b9&elqaid=11594&elqat=1&elqCampaignId=4575 NCAA strips ND of wins from 2012 & 2013 seasons for rules violations. Also, from the CBS Sports article linked to in the Chronicle of Higher Education:
  2. I'm not sure what this has to do with playing football.
  3. I enjoyed the discussion but I think the TastyGreek was right - this ain't the place for it.
  4. They're 'student-athletes'.
  5. It will also mean a great deal to some Mean Green seniors who have gone through some damned hard times. Let's not belittle their final season.
  6. What were your expectations in August? Yes, I'm sure the players, coaches, & fans want more than 5 & 7, but still 5-7 is a great improvement over 1-11 & everyone should be proud of the hard work that went into that turn-around.
  7. If UNT pulled the offer it was for a reason.
  8. I'm glad Tyler got to play in front of his dad. Once the sadness is seasoned a little maybe he'll think back on his father seeing that TD fondly.
  9. I love playing SMU & Army home-and-home. They're recognizable & winnable. I like playing top-25 teams. It's a pay check, our recruits love knowing they'll get to play in Gainesville, Norman, or Austin, and if we ever get good enough to win - it will get national attention. I hate playing FCS teams. It puts us on their level. If we win it's meaningless. If we lose it's God-awful embarrassing.
  10. They seem impressed with the young ladies of UNT. Of course, that's why I went to UNT in the first place, so I can relate.
  11. Dodge didn't know DT would be injured that next year. He choose to give up one year of a player's eligibility for part of a game. Bad choice.
  12. Happy Birthday! May your birthdays always be green.
  13. '90, I figured after Mac was fired & RV left you'd give it a rest but they were never really the problem, were they? The truth is that you just plain dislike UNT. It wouldn't matter who the coach is, who the AD is, you still will spew your negativity - won't you? It's just what you are.
  14. I think you tend to confuse reality with negativity.
  15. It's college sports '90. We're not trying to cure AIDS or defeat ISIS here. It's okay to be disgustingly biased & unrealistically optimistic about our school.
  16. Damn it. I hate to waste -1 votes on Ben that I need for '90.
  17. You talk plenty of 'smack' '90, but it's always directed at UNT.
  18. I'm glad the Rangers kept Gallo & Profar. I hate they gave up Tate Dillon for a rental. The Lucroy/Jeffrees deal was excellent.
  19. This one apparently was.
  20. No. This isn't Nazi Germany. Don't be a jerk to the cop but don't let anyone tell you to do something that you know is wrong. you should have just sat there until someone could come pick you up. Neither of you should have been driving.
  21. He's, what, 19 or 20? Let's cut him a little slack until we know for sure what happened. Then let's let the DPD & UNT coaching staff handle the problem.
  22. Do they pay the cheerleaders & dance squad? Some things should be done as a service to your university.
  23. I don't think "people like me" had anything to so with the decision, one way or another. That's in the past. Let it lie. Yes. If the results are bad - they hurt my university. If the results are good - they won't matter. Give it a rest. RV is gone.
