I was talking to an Alabama fan about their game against MT last Saturday and he couldn't understand why MT was stacking the line against the run when the Alabama passing game was so good. I honestly feel that MT was using their game against Alabama to get ready for the North Texas running game. He went on to say that MT had success when Alabama ran up straight up the middle, but MT struggled with Alabama's speed when their RB made cut backs.

What about Fouts?

I think if we survive next weekend our chances improve dramitically.

Ouch! Cons: Loss of money for Athletic budget. Our first game of season will be against MTSU which is a game that already had people worried. Pros: Resources can be focused on relief efforts. One less loss on our record this year. Chance to go undefeated if we can upset Kansas State?

I don't see what the big deal is about wheter or not the power will be up by Saturday in Baton Rougue. Murfereesboro has never had electricty or running water yet we still play there every other year.

What does this have to do with Mean Green Football?

I heard we don't see the frisbee dogs because they demand top dollar. If we could find some big wig donor, maybe we could have the frisbee dogs at more games.

I think it will depend on how well UNT promotes this game to the Denton residents. They are key since it is in the middle of the holidays.

It would be great if we could play a game in the Snake Pit every once in a while. Maybe the next big conference game there could be an unforseen "flood" in the super pit that would force us to play the big game in the snake pit.

UNT also has a national reputation as the worst athletic facilities in D1-A.

I went by TWU's coarse several months ago and it really is pretty run down from what I could tell. But if you just picked up the game it probably won't bother you. With that said you probably would want to get a tee time for Saturday morning by Thursday at the latest. You may be able to walk on after 11:00 am w/o a tee time. It is pretty open, but if the grass is poor it makes them hard to hit off of.

How would the Stars benefit from helping to form a college hockey team? It would be cool to have college hockey in Dallas. Travel costs would be out of control. Title IX? I went to a couple of UNT Hockey games last year. Had a great time. You can sit right on the glass and see all the action as UNT beat schools like UT, A&M, Baylor, SMU, Tech, etc. Lots of fun.

Maybe it was the same people who set-up OJ!

Going back to the original question: What ammenities would I like to see at the new stadium? How about ice in the drinks? Who do I need to give a $20 handshake to to make this happen?

The only thing that is a worse than a bad movie is a bad movie that is 2 1/2 hours long. Why do they keep making these movies so long? I keep finding myself in the theater thinking "When is this stupid movie going to be over? The bars close in 4 hours".

I have been thinking the same thing about our above average dependence on walk-on players. I believe 3-4 walk-on players have earned significant playing time this year. Either we have been blessed with really good walk-ons or we our scholarship players are really struggeling.

No offense, but I hope your wrong about them doing their best. Otherwise it will be a long season.

Does anyone know of a good website for college basketball? I'm looking for spreads, schedules, rankings, etc. By the way, does anyone know the spread for the SMU game?

Oh, I will be at the game. We can meet at my place if you want since I live by SMU. I asked NTSKULL about it at our watching party last Sat. and he said "maybe" I think.

I heard that the Southwest Missouri game was going to be televised. Anyone eles knows anything about this?

Jerome rolled his ankle last summer, but I don't think it was that serious.

Don't ignore the part about the new lights either. The new lighting will help a lot during televised games. The old lights had to get warmed-up before they reached full power. The new lights will come up a lot quicker allowing for some "special effects" as our players come out on to the floor.
